- " ائت حرثك أنى شئت وأطعمها إذا طعمت واكسها إذا اكتسيت ولا تقبح الوجه ولا تضرب ".
Bahz bin Hakim narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him), who says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! From where may a man approach his wife and from where should he not?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Approach your field as you wish, and when you eat, feed her as well, and when you clothe yourself, clothe her as well. Do not revile her face, nor strike her upon it."

Sayyiduna Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever a man gives to his wife will be (counted as) charity."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Irbad bin Sariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a man gives water to his wife to drink, he receives reward." When I heard this hadith, I got up, gave water to my wife, and narrated this hadith to her.
