Silsilah as-Sahihah 3120 — Is cauterization or ruqyah against reliance

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “That man is free from reliance (tawakkul) who cauterizes his body or asks for ruqyah (incantation).”
