Silsilah as-Sahihah 2767 — Changing inappropriate names

Saeed bin Musayyib narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "What is your name?" He said: "Huzn." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are Sahl." He said: "No, Sahl is considered insignificant and looked down upon." Saeed says: I think that because of this, we had to face hardships and difficulties.
