Silsilah as-Sahihah 2701 — Praising someone in his presence

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Avoid praising one another, for it is akin to slaughtering."
