Silsilah as-Sahihah 1836 — Breathing into the vessel is prohibited

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When any person drinks water, he should not breathe into the vessel. If he wants to drink more water, (he should first take a breath and) move the vessel away from his mouth, and if he intends to drink more, then start drinking again."
