Tirmidhi's Shama'il 77 — The Prophet’s (peace be upon him) Sandals Had
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: رَأَيْتُكَ تَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ، قَالَ : «إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَعَرٌ، وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا، فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلْبَسَهَا»
It is narrated from Ubaid bin Juraij that he said to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): I see that you wear Sabti shoes. He replied: Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing shoes that had no hair on them, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform ablution in them. Therefore, I very much like to wear such shoes.
