نا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ ، ثُمَّ لَقِيتُ مُسْلِمًا ، فَحَدَّثَنِي مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَاوِيُّ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ الظُّهْرَ إِلَى جَنْبِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَاوِيِّ ، وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَنْصَارِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، فَقَلَّبْتُ الْحَصَا ، فَقَالَ : لا تُقَلِّبِ الْحَصَا ، وَلَكِنِ افْعَلْ كَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ ، قُلْتُ : وَكَيْفَ رَأَيْتَهُ يَفْعَلُ ؟ قَالَ : هَكَذَا ، " فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى ، وَيَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى ، وَرَفَعَ إِصْبَعَهُ السَّبَّابَةَ " . هَذَا حَدِيثُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، وَزَادَ يَحْيَى أَيْضًا : قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، فَلَقِيتُ أَنَا مُسْلِمًا فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ ، وَقَالَ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى ، وَعَقَدَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ ، وَحَلَّقَ الْوُسْطَى وَأَشَارَ بِالَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ ، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى
Hazrat Ali bin Abdur Rahman Ansari narrates that I prayed next to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and I turned over some pebbles. He said, "Do not move the pebbles, rather do as I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) do." I asked, "How did you see the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) do it?" He said, "Like this," and he placed his left hand on his left thigh and his right hand on his right thigh and raised his index finger (and pointed with it). This is the narration of Yahya bin Hakim. The wording of the narration of Makhzumi is: "He placed his right hand on his right thigh and joined the fingers together and made a circle with the middle finger and pointed with the finger next to the thumb (the index finger of testimony), and placed his left hand on his thigh."
