(210) بَابُ الْجُلُوسِ بَعْدَ رَفْعِ الرَّأْسِ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ قَبْلَ الْقِيَامِ إِلَى الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ [وَ] إِلَى الرَّكْعَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي ، فَإِذَا كَانَ فِي وِتْرٍ مِنْ صَلاتِهِ لَمْ يَنْهَضْ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِي جَالِسًا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Malik bin Huwairith (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performing prayer, and when he (peace be upon him) was in the odd (witr) rak‘ah of his prayer, he would not stand up until he had sat straight.
