Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 526 — 115: Recitation in Fajr prayer
نا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، نا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِ قَافَ ، وَكَانَتْ صَلاتُهُ بَعْدُ تَخْفِيفًا "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite « سورة ق » in the morning prayer, but later he began to lead a light and brief prayer.
