Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 481 — 91: On humility in prayer and prohibition
إِذِ اللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ- يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَهُ عَنْ وَجْهِ الْمُصَلِّي إِذَا الْتَفَتَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ.
Because when the person praying turns his attention here and there during his prayer, Allah Almighty also turns His blessed face away from the face of the one praying.
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الأَحْوَصِ مَوْلَى بَنِي لَيْثٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : بِمِثْلِهِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said likewise.
