(24) بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنْ تَسْمِيَةِ صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ عِشَاءً، إِذِ الْعَامَّةُ أَوْ كَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ يُسَمُّونَهَا عِشَاءً.

نا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ " . قَالَ : وَيَقُولُ الأَعْرَابُ : هِيَ الْعِشَاءُ . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُغَفَّلِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah Muzani رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Do not let the Bedouins ever prevail over you regarding the name of Maghrib prayer." He says, the Bedouins call it 'Isha. Imam Abu Bakr رحمه الله says that Abdullah Muzani is Abdullah bin Mughaffal رضي الله عنه.
