(425) بَابُ ذِكْرِ عَدَدِ عُمَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Number of times the Prophet performed Umrah.
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 3071 — Number of times the Prophet performed Umrah
حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : كَمِ اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : " أَرْبَعَ عُمَرٍ ، وَحَجَّ حَجَّةً وَاحِدَةً ، وَعُمْرَتُهُ مَعَ حَجَّتِهِ "
Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) how many ‘Umrahs the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed. He replied that he performed four ‘Umrahs and only one Hajj. One of his ‘Umrahs was along with his Hajj.
