(331) بَابُ فَضْلِ الْحَلْقِ فِي الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ وَاخْتِيَارِ الْحَلْقِ عَلَى التَّقْصِيرِ وَإِنْ كَانَ التَّقْصِيرُ جَائِزًا.
Virtue of shaving the head in Hajj and Umrah, and preference for shaving over trimming, though both are allowed.
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2929 — Virtue of shaving the head in Hajj
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ يَعْنِي الثَّقَفِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ، قَالَهَا ثَلاثًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, forgive the sins of those who shave their heads." The companions said: "And for those who trim their hair as well." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: « اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ » "O Allah, forgive those who shave their heads." The companions said: "And for those who trim their hair as well." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said three times: "Forgive those who shave their heads." Then he said: "And forgive those who trim their hair as well."
