حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو وَهُوَ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْبَدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ : " أَلا لا يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ " ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي اكْتُتِبْتُ فِي غَزْوَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، وَانْطَلَقَتِ امْرَأَتِي حَاجَّةً ، قَالَ : " انْطَلِقْ فَحُجَّ مَعَ امْرَأَتِكَ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering a sermon: "Beware! No man should ever be alone with a woman except in the presence of her mahram." Then a man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), indeed my name has been registered for such-and-such battle, while my wife has set out for Hajj." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go and perform Hajj with your wife."
