حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " قَلَّمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْرُجُ فِي سَفَرِ الْجِهَادِ وَغَيْرِهِ ، إِلا يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ "
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that whenever the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out for a journey, whether for jihad or otherwise, he would depart on a Thursday.
