حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ الأَنْطَاكِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَوْذَبٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى الْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدِ ، وَالذَّكَرِ وَالأُنْثَى ، وَالصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ زَبِيبٍ ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made obligatory the Sadaqat al-Fitr of one sa’ of barley, or one sa’ of dates, or one sa’ of raisins, or one sa’ of cheese, upon every Muslim free person, slave, man and woman, young and old.
