It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If an animal injures someone, there is no compensation for it; the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is wasted, and the blood of one who dies by being buried in a mine is also wasted, and one-fifth is due as zakat on buried treasure (rikaz)." Janab Amr did not mention the mine. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I have mentioned all the chains of this narration in the Book of Blood Money. Janab Mak'hool says that the meaning of "jabar" is "hadr," that is, there is no compensation for his blood. Imam Ibn Shihab says that by "al-jabar" it is meant that there will be no blood money for his killing. Imam Malik has also given the same meaning.
