Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2199 — whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : حَفِظْتُهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رِوَايَةً ، قَالَ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins are forgiven.
