Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2161 — I heard the Messenger of Allah

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, Friday is a day of Eid. Therefore, do not fast on your Eid day unless you fast a day before it or a day after it." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this is Abu Bishr Shami, and he is not Abu Bishr Ja'far bin Abi Hashiyah, who is a companion of Imam Shu'bah and Hishaym.
