نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الأَزْرَقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلَ حَدِيثَ أَبِي مُوسَى سَوَاءً . قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : فَلا أَدْرِي بِمَكَّةَ يَعْنِي أَمْ غَيْرِهَا ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : " هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَحْيَى ، يَقُولُ : وَهْبُ بْنُ الأَجْدَعِ قَدِ ارْتَفَعَ عَنْهُ اسْمُ الْجَهَالِمَةِ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ الشَّعْبِيُّ أَيْضًا ، وَهِلالُ بْنُ يَسَافٍ
Hazrat Asim bin Damrah narrates from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the same manner as Abu Musa. Imam Sufyan says that I do not know whether this ruling is for Makkah Mukarramah or for other cities. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this hadith is rare (gharib). I heard Muhammad bin Yahya saying that the unknown and unrecognized status of Wahb bin Ajda’ has ended because Imam Sha’bi and Hilal bin Yasaf have also narrated from him.
