Sahih Ibn Hibban 6648 — Book of History
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُشِيرُ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ ، وَيَقُولُ : " هَا ، إِِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا ، إِِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا ، مِنْ حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : مَشْرِقُ الْمَدِينَةِ هُوَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ وَمُسَيْلِمَةُ مِنْهَا ، وَخُرُوجُهُ كَانَ أَوَّلَ حَادِثٍ حَدَثَ فِي الإِِسْلامِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, narrates: I saw the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, pointing towards the east and saying, "Indeed, the trial will be from that direction, indeed, the trial will be from that direction from where the horn of Satan rises."
