Sahih Ibn Hibban 5309 — Aqeeqah – The Prophet’s sacrifice
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أنس بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " عَقَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ حَسَنٍ وَحُسَيْنٍ بِكَبْشَيْنِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed two rams for the 'aqiqah of Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him).
