Sahih Ibn Hibban 3666 — I’tikaf and Laylat al-Qadr - The time when one
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَيَعْلَى ، عَنْ يَحِيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فِيهِ " .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to observe i'tikaf, he would go to the place of i'tikaf after performing the Fajr prayer.
