Sahih Ibn Hibban 3083 — Section on the funeral prayer – Permissibility
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى قَبْرِ فُلانَةَ ، فَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعًا " .
Sayyiduna Yazid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer at the grave of a certain woman; he (peace be upon him) said the takbeer four times.
