Sahih Ibn Hibban 1423 — Relieving oneself: Prohibition of urinating
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَابِرِ زَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، بِالْمَوْصِلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَرَّاءُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَبُلْ قَائِمًا " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : أَخَافُ أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ نَافِعٍ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not urinate while standing." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) I fear that Ibn Jurayj did not hear this narration from Nafi'.
