«كان يدعو عند الكرب: لا إله إلا الله العظيم الحليم لا إله إلا الله رب العرش العظيم لا إله إلا الله رب السموات السبع ورب الأرض ورب العرش الكريم»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"At times of distress, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate: 'La ilaha illallahul-'Azimul-Halim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawatis-sab'i wa Rabbul-ardi wa Rabbul-'Arshil-Karim' (There is no true deity except Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing; there is no true deity except Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne; there is no true deity except Allah, the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the Noble Throne)."
