«كان لا ينام إلا والسواك عند رأسه فإذا استيقظ بدأ بالسواك»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"Whenever He (peace and blessings be upon him) slept, the tooth-stick (miswak) would be beside his head, and when he woke up, the first thing he did was use the tooth-stick."
