«كان إذا استجد ثوبا سماه باسمه قميصا أو عمامة أو رداء ثم يقول:» اللهم لك الحمد أنت كسوتنيه أسألك من خيره وخير ما صنع له وأعوذ بك من شره وشر ما صنع له "
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) wore a new garment, he would call it by its name, whether it was a shirt, a turban or a cloak, then say: 'O Allah, to You belongs all praise; You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good of that for which it was made, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of that for which it was made.'"
