«كان إذا أخذ مضجعه من الليل قال: بسم الله وضعت جنبي اللهم اغفر لي ذنبي واخسأ شيطاني وفك رهاني وثقل ميزاني واجعلني في الندي الأعلى»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down on his bed at night, he would say: 'In the name of Allah I have laid down my side. O Allah, forgive me my sin, drive away my devil, release my pledge (my soul), make my scale heavy, and place me in the Highest Assembly.'"
