«كان إذا أخذ أهله الوعك أمر بالحساء فصنع ثم أمرهم فحسوا وكان يقول: إنه ليرتوفؤاد الحزين ويسروعن فؤاد السقيم كما تسروإحداكن الوسخ بالماء عن وجهها»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When his (peace and blessings be upon him) family were afflicted with fever, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would order hasa' (a broth-like food) to be made; then, when it was made, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would order them to drink it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: 'It soothes the grieving heart and removes sorrow from the heart of the sick, just as one of you women removes dirt from her face with water.'"
