Sahih al-Jami al-Saghir 4642 — When the fay' (spoils taken without)

«كان إذا أتاه الفيء قسمه في يومه فأعطى الآهل حظين وأعطى العزب حظا»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When the fay' (spoils taken without fighting) came to him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would distribute it the same day, giving the married man two shares and the unmarried man one share."
