«كل أمتي معافى إلا المجاهرين وإن من الجهار أن يعمل الرجل بالليل عملا ثم يصبح وقد ستره الله تعالى فيقول: عملت البارحة كذا وكذا وقد بات يستره ربه ويصبح يكشف ستر الله عنه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"All of my Ummah will be pardoned except those who sin openly. And part of sinning openly is that a man does a deed (a sin) at night, then wakes up in the morning while Allah Almighty has concealed it for him, and he says: I did such and such last night. He spent the night with his Lord concealing him, and as soon as morning comes he himself removes the cover that Allah had placed over him."
