«العطاس من الله والتثاؤب من الشيطان فإذا تثاءب أحدكم فليضع يده على فيه وإذا قال: آه آه فإن الشيطان يضحك من جوفه وإن الله عز وجل يحب العطاس ويكره التثاؤب»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Sneezing is from Allah and yawning is from Satan. So when one of you yawns, let him place his hand over his mouth, for if he says 'aah, aah', Satan laughs from inside his belly. And indeed Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, loves sneezing and dislikes yawning."
