«عليكم بهذا العود الهندي فإن فيه سبعة أشفية يستعط به من العذرة ويلد به من ذات الجنب»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hold fast to this Indian wood (costus), for in it are cures for seven diseases: it is put into the nose for tonsillitis ('udhrah), and poured into one side of the mouth for pleurisy (dhat al-janb)."
