«الطاعون بقية رجز أو عذاب أرسل على طائفة من بني إسرائيل فإذا وقع بأرض وأنتم بها فلا تخرجوا منها فرارا منه وإذا وقع بأرض ولستم بها فلا تهبطوا عليها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The plague is the remnant of a punishment that was sent upon a group of the Children of Israel. So if it breaks out in a land while you are there, do not leave it fleeing from it, and if it breaks out in a land while you are not there, do not go there."
