"السمع والطاعة حق على المرء المسلم فيما أحب أو كره ما لم يؤمر بمعصية فإذا أمر بمعصية فلا سمع عليه ولا طاعة "
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listening and obeying is obligatory upon the Muslim man, whether he likes it or dislikes it, as long as he is not commanded to commit disobedience. If he is commanded to commit disobedience, then there is no listening and no obedience."
