Hadith 2436
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْأَسْوَدُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اشْتَرَى مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا إِلَى أَجَلٍ وَرَهَنَهُ دِرْعَهُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aisha that :` the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) bought some food from a Jew with payment to be made later, and he pawned his armor for that.
Hadith 2633
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : " قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالدِّيَةِ عَلَى الْعَاقِلَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Mughirah bin Shu'bah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ruled that the blood money must be paid by the 'Aqilah.”
Hadith 2681
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ شِبَاكٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَعَفِّ النَّاسِ قِتْلَةً أَهْلَ الْإِيمَانِ " .
´'Abdullah said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The most decent of the people in killing are the people of faith.”
Hadith 2682
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ شِبَاكٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ هُنَيِّ بْنِ نُوَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَعَفَّ النَّاسِ قِتْلَةً أَهْلُ الْإِيمَانِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The most decent people in killing are the people of faith.”
Hadith 3068
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ زُرَيْقٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " ادَّلَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ النَّفْرِ مِنْ الْبَطْحَاءِ ادِّلَاجًا " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) set out before daybreak, on the night of departure, from Batha’.”
Hadith 3073
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَفِيَّةَ ، فَقُلْنَا : قَدْ حَاضَتْ ، فَقَالَ : " عَقْرَى حَلْقَى ، مَا أُرَاهَا إِلَّا حَابِسَتَنَا " ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهَا قَدْ طَافَتْ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ، قَالَ : " فَلَا إِذًا مُرُوهَا فَلْتَنْفِرْ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mentioned Safiyyah and we said: ‘She has got her menses.’ He said: ‘ ‘Aqra Halqa!* I think that she has detained us.’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, she performed Tawaful-Ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice.’ He said: ‘No then, tell her to depart.’”
Hadith 3095
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ الْقَلَائِدَ لِهَدْيِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَيُقَلِّدُ هَدْيَهُ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهِ ، ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ لَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “I used to twist the garlands for the sacrificial animal of the Prophet (ﷺ), and his sacrificial animal would be garlanded and sent (to Makkah), and he would stay (in Al-Madinah) without avoiding any of the things that the one in Ihram avoids.”
Hadith 3096
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّةً غَنَمًا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ ، فَقَلَّدَهَا " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “On one occasion the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent sheep to the House, and he garlanded them.”
Hadith 3215
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا تَأْكُلْ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخْزِقَ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Adi bit Hatim said:` “I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about Mi’rad. He said: ‘Do not eat unless you pierce (the game).’”
Hadith 3344
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو , حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " مَا شَبِعَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنْذُ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ تِبَاعًا مِنْ خُبْزِ بُرٍّ , حَتَّى تُوُفِّيَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´it was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The family of Muhammad (ﷺ) never ate their fill of wheat bread for three nights in a row, from the time they came to Al-Madinah until he passed away.”
Hadith 3517
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فِي الرُّقْيَةِ مِنَ الْحَيَّةِ وَالْعَقْرَبِ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) allowed Ruqyah for snakebites and scorpion stings.”
Hadith 3975
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا خَالِي يَعْلَى , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ , قَالَ : قِيلَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ : إِنَّا نَدْخُلُ عَلَى أُمَرَائِنَا , فَنَقُولُ الْقَوْلَ , فَإِذَا خَرَجْنَا قُلْنَا غَيْرَهُ , قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَعُدُّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النِّفَاقَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Sha’tha said:` “It was said to Ibn ‘Umar: ‘We enter upon our rulers and say one thing, and when we leave we say something else.’ He said: ‘At the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), we used to regard that as hypocrisy.’”
Hadith 4082
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ صَالِحٍ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , إِذْ أَقْبَلَ فِتْيَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ , فَلَمَّا رَآهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَاهُ وَتَغَيَّرَ لَوْنُهُ , قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : مَا نَزَالُ نَرَى فِي وَجْهِكَ شَيْئًا نَكْرَهُهُ , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّا أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ , اخْتَارَ اللَّهُ لَنَا الْآخِرَةَ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا , وَإِنَّ أَهْلَ بَيْتِي سَيَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي بَلَاءً وَتَشْرِيدًا وَتَطْرِيدًا , حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ مَعَهُمْ رَايَاتٌ سُودٌ , فَيَسْأَلُونَ الْخَيْرَ فَلَا يُعْطَوْنَهُ , فَيُقَاتِلُونَ فَيُنْصَرُونَ , فَيُعْطَوْنَ مَا سَأَلُوا , فَلَا يَقْبَلُونَهُ حَتَّى يَدْفَعُوهَا إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي فَيَمْلَؤُهَا قِسْطًا كَمَا مَلَئُوهَا جَوْرًا , فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَأْتِهِمْ وَلَوْ حَبْوًا عَلَى الثَّلْجِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "While we were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), some youngsters from Banu Hashim came along. When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw them, his eyes filled with tears and his color changed. I said: 'We still see something in your face that we do not like (to see).' He said: 'We are members of a Household for whom Allah has chosen the Hereafter over this world. The people of my Household will face calamity, expulsion and exile after I am gone, until some people will come from the east carrying black banners. They will ask for something good but will not be given it. Then they will fight and will be victorious, then they will be given what they wanted, but they will not accept it and will give leadership to a man from my family. Then they will fill it with justice just as it was filled with injustice. Whoever among you lives to see that, let him go to them even if he has to crawl over snow.'"
Hadith 4109
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ , حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ , أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : اضْطَجَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حَصِيرٍ فَأَثَّرَ فِي جِلْدِهِ , فَقُلْتُ : بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , لَوْ كُنْتَ آذَنْتَنَا فَفَرَشْنَا لَكَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْئًا يَقِيكَ مِنْهُ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَنَا وَالدُّنْيَا , إِنَّمَا أَنَا وَالدُّنْيَا كَرَاكِبٍ اسْتَظَلَّ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ , ثُمَّ رَاحَ وَتَرَكَهَا " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) lay down on a reed mat, and it left marks on his skin. I said: ‘May my father and mother be ransomed for you, O Messenger of Allah! If you had told us we would have provided you with something that would save you this trouble.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘What is there between myself and the world? This world and I are just like a rider who stops to rest beneath the shade of a tree then goes and leaves it.’”
Hadith 4173
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ جَمِيعًا , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ , وَلَا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “No one will enter Paradise who has pride in his heart equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, and no one will enter Hell who has faith in his heart equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed.”
Hadith 4194
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : قَال لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ " , فَقَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِسُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ , حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغْتُ : فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ شَهِيدًا سورة النساء آية 41 , فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا عَيْنَاهُ تَدْمَعَانِ .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Recite Qur’an to me,’ so I recited Surat An-Nisa’ to him, and when I reached (the Verse): “How (will it be) then, when We bring forth from each nation a witness and We bring you as a witness against these people?” [4:41] I looked at him, and his eyes were filled with tears.”
Hadith 4339
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ آخِرَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ خُرُوجًا مِنْهَا , وَآخِرَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ دُخُولًا الْجَنَّةَ , رَجُلٌ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ النَّارِ حَبْوًا , فَيُقَالُ لَهُ : اذْهَبْ فَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ , فَيَأْتِيهَا فَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهَا مَلْأَى , فَيَرْجِعُ , فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ , وَجَدْتُهَا مَلْأَى , فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : اذْهَبْ فَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ , فَيَأْتِيهَا , فَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهَا مَلْأَى , فَيَرْجِعُ , فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ , وَجَدْتُهَا مَلْأَى , فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ : اذْهَبْ فَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ , فَيَأْتِيهَا فَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهَا مَلْأَى , فَيَرْجِعُ , فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ إِنَّهَا مَلْأَى , فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : اذْهَبْ فَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ , فَإِنَّ لَكَ مِثْلَ الدُّنْيَا وَعَشَرَةَ أَمْثَالِهَا , أَوْ إِنَّ لَكَ مِثْلَ عَشَرَةِ أَمْثَالِ الدُّنْيَا , فَيَقُولُ : أَتَسْخَرُ بِي أَوْ أَتَضْحَكُ بِي وَأَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ ؟ " , قَالَ : فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحِكَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ , فَكَانَ يُقَالُ : هَذَا أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلًا .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “I know the last of the people of Hell who will be brought forth from it, and the last of the people of Paradise to be admitted to Paradise. (It is) a man who will emerge from Hell crawling, and it will be said to him: ‘Go and enter Paradise.’ He will come to it and it will be made to appear to him as if it is full.’ Allah will say: ‘Go and enter Paradise.’ He will come to it and it will appear to him as if it is full. So he will say: ‘O Lord, I found it full.’ Allah will say: ‘Go and enter Paradise.’ He will come to it and it will be made to appear to him as if it is full. So he will say: ‘O Lord, I found it full.’ Allah will say: ‘Go and enter Paradise, for you will have the like of the world and ten times more, or you will have ten times the like of the world.’ He will say: ‘Are You mocking me, or are You laughing at me, when You are the Sovereign?’” He said: "And I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) smiling so broadly that his molar teeth could be seen." And he used to say: "This is the lowest of the people of Paradise in status."
