Hadith 2171
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنِ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ الْجَيْشَ الَّذِي يُخْسَفُ بِهِمْ ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ : لَعَلَّ فِيهِمُ الْمُكْرَهُ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّهُمْ يُبْعَثُونَ عَلَى نِيَّاتِهِمْ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَيْضًا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Umm Salamah narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) mentioned the army that the earth would swallow, so Umm Salamah said:` 'Perhaps there are those among them who are averse to it." He said: "They will be resurrected on their intentions."
Hadith 2270
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اقْتَرَبَ الزَّمَانُ لَمْ تَكَدْ رُؤْيَا الْمُؤْمِنِ تَكْذِبُ وَأَصْدَقُهُمْ رُؤْيَا أَصْدَقُهُمْ حَدِيثًا ، وَرُؤْيَا الْمُسْلِمِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ ، وَالرُّؤْيَا ثَلَاثٌ : فَالرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ بُشْرَى مِنَ اللَّهِ ، وَالرُّؤْيَا مِنْ تَحْزِينِ الشَّيْطَانِ ، وَالرُّؤْيَا مِمَّا يُحَدِّثُ بِهَا الرَّجُلُ نَفْسَهُ ، فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُ فَلْيَقُمْ فَلْيَتْفُلْ وَلَا يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا النَّاسَ ، قَالَ : وَأُحِبُّ الْقَيْدَ فِي النَّوْمِ وَأَكْرَهُ الْغُلَّ ، الْقَيْدُ ثَبَاتٌ فِي الدِّينِ " ، قَالَ : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "When time draws near, the dreams of a believer will hardly ever fail to come true, and the most truthful of them in dreams will be the truest in speech among them. The dream of a Muslim is a portion among the forty-six portions of Prophet-hood. And dreams are of three types: The righteous dream which is good news from Allah, dreams in which the Shaithan frightens someone, and dreams about something that has happened to the man himself. So when one of you sees what he dislikes, then he should get up and spit, and not tell any of the people- he said:- and I like the fetters in a dream while I dislike the iron collar." And the interpretation of fetters is being firm in the religion".
Hadith 2350
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ نَحْوَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَأَبُو الْوَازِعِ الرَّاسِبِيُّ اسْمُهُ : جَابِرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَهُوَ بَصْرِيٌّ .
‘With this chain also,’ a similar hadith is narrated from Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him). © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan Gharib,
2- Abu’l-Wazi’ Rasibi’s name is Jabir bin Amr, and he is from Basra.

Hadith 2647
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيِّ، عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ خَرَجَ فِي طَلَبِ الْعِلْمِ فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَرَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ فَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ .
´Narrated Anas bin Malik:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever goes out seeking knowledge, then he is in Allah's cause until he returns."
Hadith 2720
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَنَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ " أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ ، يَعْنِي : السَّلَامَ " .
´Narrated Ibn 'Umar:` that a man gave the Salam to the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was urinating, but the Prophet (ﷺ) did not return the Salam to him."
Hadith 2935
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ بَدْرٍ ظَهَرَتْ الرُّومُ عَلَى فَارِسَ ، فَأَعْجَبَ ذَلِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، فَنَزَلَتْ الم { 1 } غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ { 2 } إِلَى قَوْلِهِ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ سورة الروم آية 1 ـ 4 ، قَالَ : يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ بِظُهُورِ الرُّومِ عَلَى فَارِسَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَيُقْرَأُ غَلَبَتْ وَغُلِبَتْ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَتْ غُلِبَتْ ثُمَّ غَلَبَتْ ، هَكَذَا قَرَأَ نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ غَلَبَتْ .
´Narrated Abu Sa'eed:` "On the Day of (the battle of) Badr, the Romans had a victory over the Persians. So the believers were pleased with that, then the following was revealed: Alif Lam Mim. The Romans have been defeated..." up to His saying: '...the believers will rejoice. (30:1-4)" He said: "So the believers were happy with the victory of the Romans over the Persians.
Hadith 2948
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " الْحَالُّ الْمُرْتَحِلُ " ، قَالَ : وَمَا الْحَالُّ الْمُرْتَحِلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " الَّذِي يَضْرِبُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الْقُرْآنِ إِلَى آخِرِهِ ، كُلَّمَا حَلَّ ارْتَحَلَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:` "A man said 'O Messenger of Allah! Which deed is most virtuous to Allah?' He said: 'Al-Hallul-Murtahil'' He said: 'What is Al-Hallul-Murtahil?' He said: 'The one who recites from the beginning of the Qur'an to the end of it, every time he sets out (on a trip).'"
Hadith 3046
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحْرَسُ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ .
With this chain, the narration is the same. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is gharib. Some have narrated this hadith from Jariri, from Abdullah bin Shaqiq, who says: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to be guarded and protected, and in this narration, there is no mention of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).

Hadith 3092
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ يُثَيْعٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ نَحْوَهُ .
`Sufyan bin ‘Uyaynah narrated` with the chain «أبي إسحق عن زيد بن أثيع عن علي» in the same manner.
Hadith 3192
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ بَدْرٍ ظَهَرَتْ الروم عَلَى فَارِسَ فَأَعْجَبَ ذَلِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، فَنَزَلَتْ الم غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ بِنَصْرِ اللَّهِ سورة الروم آية 1 ـ 5 ، قَالَ : فَفَرِحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ بِظُهُورِ الروم عَلَى فَارِسَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، كَذَا قَرَأَ نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ : 0 غَلَبَتِ الرُّومُ 0 .
´Narrated 'Atiyyah:` Abu Sa'eed narrated: "On the Day of Badr, the Romans had a victory over the Persians. So the believers were pleased with that, then the following was revealed: 'Alif Lam Mim. Hadith 3224
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ إِذْ رُمِيَ بِنَجْمٍ فَاسْتَنَارَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ لِمِثْلِ هَذَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ ؟ " قَالُوا : كُنَّا نَقُولُ : يَمُوتُ عَظِيمٌ أَوْ يُولَدُ عَظِيمٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُرْمَى بِهِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، وَلَكِنَّ رَبَّنَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا سَبَّحَ لَهُ حَمَلَةُ الْعَرْشِ ثُمَّ سَبَّحَ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ التَّسْبِيحُ إِلَى هَذِهِ السَّمَاءِ ، ثُمَّ سَأَلَ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ السَّادِسَةِ أَهْلَ السَّمَاءِ السَّابِعَةِ : مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ ؟ قَالَ : فَيُخْبِرُونَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ يَسْتَخْبِرُ أَهْلُ كُلِّ سَمَاءٍ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْخَبَرُ أَهْلَ السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا ، وَتَخْتَطِفُ الشَّيَاطِينُ السَّمْعَ فَيُرْمَوْنَ فَيَقْذِفُونَهُ إِلَى أَوْلِيَائِهِمْ فَمَا جَاءُوا بِهِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَهُوَ حَقٌّ وَلَكِنَّهُمْ يُحَرِّفُونَهُ وَيَزِيدُونَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:` "We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), while he was sitting with a group of his Companions, when they saw a glowing shooting star. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When you saw the likes of this during Jahiliyyah, what would you say about it?' They said: 'We would say that a great man died, or that a great man has been born.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'It is not shot due to the death of anyone, nor his coming into life. Rather when our Lord [Blessed is His Name and Most High] decrees a matter, He is glorified by the bearers of the Throne. Then He is glorified by the inhabitants who are below them, then those below them, until such glorification reaches this Heaven. Then the inhabitants of the sixth Heaven ask the inhabitants of the seventh Heaven: "What did your Lord say?" He said: 'So they inform them; then the inhabitants of each Heaven seek the information, until the news is conveyed to the inhabitants of the Heavens of the earth. The Shayatin try to overhear so they are shot at, so they cast it down to their friends. Whatever they came with is true, as it is, but they distort it and add to it.'"
Hadith 3584
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا غَزَا قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُدِي , وَأَنْتَ نَصِيرِي , وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ : عَضُدِي يَعْنِي عَوْنِي .
´Anas narrated that when the Prophet (ﷺ) would go out for an expedition, he would say:` “O Allah, You are my `Aḍud and You are my Helper, and by You do I fight (Allāhumma anta `aḍudī, wa anta naṣīrī, wa bika uqātil).”
Hadith 3651
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارٌ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنُ الْإِسْنَادِ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) died when he was sixty-five years old."
Hadith 3733
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَخِي مُوسَى بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ بِيَدِ حَسَنٍ , وَحُسَيْنٍ , فَقَالَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّنِي وَأَحَبَّ هَذَيْنِ , وَأَبَاهُمَا , وَأُمَّهُمَا كَانَ مَعِي فِي دَرَجَتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
´Narrated 'Ali bin Husain:` from his father, from his grandfather, 'Ali bin Abi Talib: "The Prophet (ﷺ) took Hasan and Husain by the hand and said: 'Whoever loves me and loves these two, and their father and mother, he shall be with me in my level on the Day of Judgement."
