Hadith 100
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ صَالِحُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرُ سَيِّدَا كُهُولِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ ، وَالْآخِرِينَ ، إِلَّا النَّبِيِّينَ ، وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Awn bin Abi Juhaifah that his father said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Abu Bakr and 'Umar are the leaders of the mature people of Paradise, the first and the last, except for the Prophets and the Messengers.'"
Hadith 2696
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى : أَوْصَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، قُلْتُ : فَكَيْفَ أَمَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالْوَصِيَّةِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " أَوْصَى بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ " .
´It was narrated from Malik bin Mighwal that Talhah bin Musarrif said:` “I said to Abdullah bin Abu Awfa: 'Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) make a will concerning anything?' He said: 'No.' I said: 'How come he told the Muslims to make wills?' He said: 'He enjoined (them to adhere to) the book of Allah (SWT).” Malik said: “Talhah bin Musarrif said: 'Huzail bin Shurahbil said: “Abu Bakr was granted leadership according to the will of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?” (Rather) Abu Bakr wished that the found a covenant (in that regard) from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), so he could fetter his nose with a (camel's) nose ring.”
Hadith 3814
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ , وَالْمُحَارِبِيُّ , عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ , عَنْ نَافِعٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : إِنْ كُنَّا لَنَعُدُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ , يَقُولُ : " رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ , إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ " مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ .
´It was narrated that Ibn `Umar said:` "We used to count that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said one hundred times in a gathering: 'Rabbighfirli wa tub `alayya innaka Antat-Tawwabur-Rahim (O Allah forgive me and accept my repentance, for You are the Accepter of repentance, the Most Merciful).'"
Hadith 3857
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ : سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , رَجُلًا يَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ الْأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ بِاسْمِهِ الْأَعْظَمِ , الَّذِي إِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى , وَإِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ أَجَابَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said:` "The Prophet (saas) heard a man say: 'Allahumma! Inni as'aluka bi-annaka Antallahul-Ahadus-Samad, alladhi lam yalid wa lam yuwlud, wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad (O Allah! I ask You by virtue of Your being Allah, the One, the Self-Sufficient Master, Who begets not nor was begotten, and there is none co-equal or comparable to Him).' The Messenger of Allah (saas) said: 'He has asked Allah by His Greatest Name, which if He is asked thereby He gives, and if He is called upon thereby He answers.'"
Hadith 4198
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ سورة المؤمنون آية 60 , أَهُوَ يُضَافُ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي يَزْنِي وَيَسْرِقُ وَيَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ , قَالَ : " لَا , يَا بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ , أَوْ يَا بِنْتَ الصِّدِّيقِ , وَلَكِنَّهُ الرَّجُلُ يَصُومُ وَيَتَصَدَّقُ وَيُصَلِّي , وَهُوَ يَخَافُ أَنْ لَا يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنْهُ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, ‘And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear.” [23:60] Is this the one who commits adultery, steals and drinks alcohol?’ He said: ‘No, O daughter of Abu Bakr’ – O daughter of Siddiq – rather it is a man who fasts and gives charity and prays, but he fears that those will not be accepted from him.’”
