Hadith 558
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَلَوِيِّ ، عَنْ عُلَيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ اللَّخْمِيِّ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ مِنْ مِصْرَ ، فَقَالَ : " مُنْذُ كَمْ لَمْ تَنْزِعْ خُفَّيْكَ ؟ قَالَ : مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ ، قَالَ : " أَصَبْتَ السُّنَّةَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Uqbah bin 'Amir Al-Juhani that:` He came to 'Umar bin Khattab from Egypt. 'Umar said: "How long has it been since you have taken off your leather socks?" He said: "From one Friday to the next." He said: "You have acted in accordance with the Sunnah."
Hadith 1519
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : " ثَلَاثُ سَاعَاتٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَيَنْهَانَا أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِيهِنَّ ، أَوْ نَقْبِرَ فِيهِنَّ مَوْتَانَا ، حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ بَازِغَةً ، وَحِينَ يَقُومُ قَائِمُ الظَّهِيرَةِ حَتَّى تَمِيلَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَحِينَ تَضَيَّفُ لِلْغُرُوبِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ " .
´‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir Al-Juhani said:` “There are three times during the day when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade us to offer the funeral prayer or bury our dead: When the sun has fully risen (until it is higher up in the sky), when it is overhead at noon until it has passed the meridian, and when it is starting to set until it has set.”
Hadith 2444
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى الْحِمْصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عُلَيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُتْبَةَ بْنَ النُّدَّرِ ، يَقُولُ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَرَأَ طسم حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ قِصَّةَ مُوسَى قَالَ : " إِنَّ مُوسَى صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آجَرَ نَفْسَهُ ثَمَانِيَ سِنِينَ أَوْ عَشْرًا عَلَى عِفَّةِ فَرْجِهِ وَطَعَامِ بَطْنِهِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Ali bin Rabah said:` “I heard 'Utbah bin Nuddar say: 'We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he recited Ta-Sin. When he reached the story of Musa, he said: 'Musa (A.S) hired himself out for eight years, or ten, in return for his chastity and food in his stomach.' ”
Hadith 2789
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَيُّوبَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عُلَيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " خَيْرُ الْخَيْلِ الْأَدْهَمُ الْأَقْرَحُ الْمُحَجَّلُ الْأَرْثَمُ طَلْقُ الْيَدِ الْيُمْنَى ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَدْهَمَ فَكُمَيْتٌ عَلَى هَذِهِ الشِّيَةِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Qatadah Al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The best of horses are those that are deep black, with a blaze on the forehead, white marks on the legs and white nose and upper lip, and with no whiteness on the right foreleg. If not deep-black, then reddish-brown, with these markings.”
Hadith 3444
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ , عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُكْرِهُوا مَرْضَاكُمْ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ , فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُطْعِمُهُمْ وَيَسْقِيهِمْ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir Al-Juhani that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Do not force your sick ones to eat or drink. Allah will feed them and give them to drink.”
Hadith 3667
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ , عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُلَيٍّ , سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَذْكُرُ , عَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى أَفْضَلِ الصَّدَقَةِ ؟ ابْنَتُكَ مَرْدُودَةً إِلَيْكَ لَيْسَ لَهَا كَاسِبٌ غَيْرُكَ " .
´It was narrated from Suraqah bin Malik that the Prophet(ﷺ) said:` "Shall I not tell you of the best charity? A daughter who comes back to you and has no other breadwinner apart from you." (Daif)
Hadith 4166
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ , أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ صَالِحُ بْنُ زُرَيْقٍ الْعَطَّارُ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيُّ , عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُلَيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ قَلْبِ ابْنِ آدَمَ بِكُلِّ وَادٍ شُعْبَةً , فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ قَلْبُهُ الشُّعَبَ كُلَّهَا , لَمْ يُبَالِ اللَّهُ بِأَيِّ وَادٍ أَهْلَكَهُ , وَمَنْ تَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَفَاهُ التَّشَعُّبَ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Amr bin ‘As that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The heart of the son of Adam has an inclination towards every desirable thing, so whoever follows all of those inclinations, Allah will not care which one will cause his doom. And whoever relies upon Allah, Allah will protect him from the pain of scattered inclinations.”
