Hadith 721
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ الْحُكَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَسْمَعُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ : وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا ، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا ، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا ، غُفِرَ لَهُ ذَنْبُهُ " .
´It was narrated from Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever says, when he hears the Mu'adh-dhin, 'Wa ana Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu, radaytu Billahi rabban wa bil-islami dinan wa bi muhammadin nabiyyan (And I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, and I am content with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion and Muhammad as my Prophet),' his sins will be forgiven to him."
Hadith 885
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا سَجَدَ الْعَبْدُ سَجَدَ مَعَهُ سَبْعَةُ آرَابٍ : وَجْهُهُ ، وَكَفَّاهُ ، وَرُكْبَتَاهُ ، وَقَدَمَاهُ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abbas bin ‘Abdul-Muttalib that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say:` “When a person prostrates, seven parts of his body prostrate with him: His face, his two hands, his two knees, and his two feet.”
Hadith 915
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ : " يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ " .
It was narrated from ‘Amir bin Sa’d, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say the Salam to his right and to his left.
Hadith 1397
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ ، أَنَّ عَامِرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَانَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ ، يَقُولَ : قَالَ عُثْمَانُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ بِفِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ نَهْرٌ يَجْرِي يَغْتَسِلُ فِيهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ ، مَا كَانَ يَبْقَى مِنْ دَرَنِهِ ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَا شَيْءَ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تُذْهِبُ الذُّنُوبَ كَمَا يُذْهِبُ الْمَاءُ الدَّرَنَ " .
´‘Uthman said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Do you think that if there was a river in the courtyard of anyone of you, and he bathed in it five times each day, would there be any dirt left on him?’ They said: ‘(There would be) nothing.’ He said: ‘Prayer takes away sins like water takes away dirt.’”
Hadith 1556
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " أَلْحِدُوا لِي لَحْدًا ، وَانْصِبُوا عَلَى اللَّبِنِ نَصْبًا ، كَمَا فُعِلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ " .
´It was narrated that Sa’d said:` “Make a niche-grave for me, and block it up with bricks as was done for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).”
Hadith 2586
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو وَاقِدٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي ثَمَنِ الْمِجَنِّ " .
´It was narrated from Amir bin Sa'd, from this father, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “The hand of the thief is to be cut off for the price of a shield.
Hadith 2708
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، وسهل ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : مَرِضْتُ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ حَتَّى أَشْفَيْتُ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ فَعَادَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَيْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي مَالًا كَثِيرًا وَلَيْسَ يَرِثُنِي إِلَّا ابْنَتِي أَفَأَتَصَدَّقُ بِثُلُثَيْ مَالِي ؟ ، قَالَ : " لَا " ، قُلْتُ : فَالشَّطْرُ ، قَالَ : " لَا " ، قُلْتُ : فَالثُّلُثُ ، قَالَ : " الثُّلُثُ ، وَالثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ أَنْ تَتَرُكَ وَرَثَتَكَ أَغْنِيَاءَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَتْرُكَهُمْ عَالَةً يَتَكَفَّفُونَ النَّاسَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Amir bin Sa'd that his father said:` “I became sick during the year of the Conquest, and was at death's door. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to visit me and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I have a great deal of wealth and no one will inherit from me apart from my daughter. Can I give two thirds of my wealth in charity?' He said: 'No.' I said: 'Then half?' He said: 'No.' I said: 'One third?' He said: One third and one third is a lot. If you leave your heirs rich that is better than leaving them destitute and begging from people.”
