Sunan an-Nasa'i
Hadith 2
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَشُوصُ فَاهُ بِالسِّوَاكِ " .
´It was narrated that Huthaifah said:` "When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) got up at night, he would brush his mouth with the Siwak."
Hadith 18
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَانْتَهَى إِلَى سُبَاطَةِ قَوْمٍ فَبَالَ قَائِمًا ، فَتَنَحَّيْتُ عَنْهُ ، فَدَعَانِي وَكُنْتُ عِنْدَ عَقِبَيْهِ حَتَّى فَرَغَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:` "I was walking with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he came to some people's garbage dump and urinated while standing up. I turned to go away, but he called me back (to conceal him), and I was just behind him. Then when he had finished, he performed Wudu' and wiped over his Khuffs."
Hadith 26
أَخْبَرَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قال : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَتَى سُبَاطَةَ قَوْمٍ فَبَالَ قَائِمًا " .
It was narrated from Hudhifah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)came to some people's garbage dump and urinated while standing.
Hadith 27
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ ، أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قال : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَتَى سُبَاطَةَ قَوْمٍ فَبَالَ قَائِمًا " .
´It was narrated that Mansur said:` "I heard Abu Wa'il (say) that Hudhaifah said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to some people's garbage dump and urinated while standing.'"
Hadith 28
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، وَمَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَشَى إِلَى سُبَاطَةِ قَوْمٍ فَبَالَ قَائِمًا " . قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : " وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ " وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مَنْصُورٌ الْمَسْحَ .
´It was narrated from Hudhaifah that the Prophet (ﷺ) went to some people's garbage dump and urinated while standing. In his narration, Sulaiman bin 'Ubaidullah said:` "And he wiped over his Khuffs," but Mansur did not mention the wiping. [1] [1]Meaning, in this route, since Shu'bah narrated it from both Sulaiman and Mansur.
Hadith 269
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي وَاصِلٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقِيَهُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَأَهْوَى إِلَيَّ ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي جُنُبٌ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لَا يَنْجُسُ " .
´It was narrated from Huthaifah that the Prophet (ﷺ) met him when he was Junub:` "And he came close to me and reached out his hand. I said: 'I am Junub.' He said: 'The Muslim is not made impure (Najis).'"
Hadith 321
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، قال : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَأَبِي مُوسَى ، فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى : أَوْ لَمْ تَسْمَعْ قَوْلَ عَمَّارٍ ، لِعُمَرَ ؟ بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَاجَةٍ فَأَجْنَبْتُ فَلَمْ أَجِدِ الْمَاءَ ، فَتَمَرَّغْتُ بِالصَّعِيدِ ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيكَ أَنْ تَقُولَ هَكَذَا ، وَضَرَبَ بِيَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ ضَرْبَةً فَمَسَحَ كَفَّيْهِ ، ثُمَّ نَفَضَهُمَا ، ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بِشِمَالِهِ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَبِيَمِينِهِ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ عَلَى كَفَّيْهِ وَوَجْهِهِ " . فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : أَوَ لَمْ تَرَ عُمَرَ لَمْ يَقْنَعْ بِقَوْلِ عَمَّارٍ ؟ .
´It was narrated that Shaqiq said:` "I was siting with 'Abdullah and Abu Musa, and Abu Musa said: 'Have you not heard what 'Ammar said to 'Umar: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me on an errand and I became Junub, and I could not find water, so I rolled in the earth then I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him about.' He said: 'It would have been sufficient for you to do this,' and he struck the earth with his hands, then wiped his hands, then knocked them together to remove the dust, then he wiped his right hand with his left and his left hand with his right, palm to palm, and wiped his face.'" Then 'Abdullah said: "Did you not see that 'Umar was not convinced by what 'Ammar said?"
Hadith 787
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى صَاحِبُ الْبُصْرَى ، قال : سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ يَذْكُرُ ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا " أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ صَلَّى لِلنَّاسِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّفِّ " .
It was narrated from Aisha that Abu Bakr led the people in prayer and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)was in the row.
Hadith 944
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " بِئْسَمَا لِأَحَدِهِمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ اسْتَذْكِرُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ أَسْرَعُ تَفَصِّيًا مِنْ صُدُورِ الرِّجَالِ مِنَ النَّعَمِ مِنْ عُقُلِهِ " .
´It was narrated from Abdullah that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It is not right for any one of you to say: 'I have forgotten such and such a verse.' Rather, he has been caused to forget. Study the Qur'an, for it escapes from the heart of man faster than a camel escapes from its fetter. "
Hadith 1005
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قال : " إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُ النَّظَائِرَ الَّتِي كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِشْرِينَ سُورَةً فِي عَشْرِ رَكَعَاتٍ ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِ عَلْقَمَةَ فَدَخَلَ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا عَلْقَمَةُ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ فَأَخْبَرَنَا بِهِنَّ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` I know the similar surahs that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite, twenty surahs in ten rak'ahs." Then he took 'Alqamah's hand and went in, then 'Alqamah came out and we asked him and he told us what they were.
Hadith 1006
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يَقُولُ : قال رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : " قَرَأْتُ الْمُفَصَّلَ فِي رَكْعَةٍ ، قَالَ : هَذًّا كَهَذِّ الشِّعْرِ لَقَدْ عَرَفْتُ النَّظَائِرَ الَّتِي كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرُنُ بَيْنَهُنَّ فَذَكَرَ عِشْرِينَ سُورَةً مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ سُورَتَيْنِ سُورَتَيْنِ فِي رَكْعَةٍ " .
´It was narrated that 'Amr bin Murrah said:` "I heard Abu Wa'il say: "A man said in the presence of Abdullah: 'I recited Al-Mufassal in one rak'ah.' He said: 'That is like reciting poetry. I know the similar surahs that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite together.' And he mentioned twenty surahs from Al-Mufassal, two by two in each rak'ah."
Hadith 1166
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ آدَمَ قال : سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ يَتَشَهَّدُ بِهَذَا فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ وَالتَّطَوُّعِ ، وَيَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، وَحَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Yahya-Ibn Adam- said:` "I heard Sufyan reciting this tashahhud in the obligatory and voluntary prayers, and he said: 'Abu Ishaq narrated to us from Abu Al-Ahwas from Abdullah, from the Prophet (ﷺ).'" And Mansur and Hammad narrated to us from Abu Wa'il, from Abdullah, from the Prophet (ﷺ).
Hadith 1170
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ هُوَ الدَّسْتَوَائِيُّ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قال : كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى جِبْرِيلَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مِيكَائِيلَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُولُوا السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّلَامُ وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn Mas'ud said:` "We used to pray with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and we would say: "Peace (As-Salam) be upon Allah (SWT), peace be upon Jibril, peace be upon Mika'il.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Do not say "Peace (As-Salam) be upon Allah, for Allah is As-Salam." Rather say: "At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibat, as-salamu 'alaika ayyuhan-Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktuhu. As-salamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibad illahis-salihin, ashahdu an la illaha ill-Allah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu (Allah compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah (SWT) and his blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah (SWT). I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger)."
Hadith 1171
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، وَمَنْصُورٍ ، وَحَمَّادٍ ، وَمُغِيرَةَ ، وأَبِي هَاشِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِي التَّشَهُّدِ التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : أَبُو هَاشِمٍ غَرِيبٌ .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah that :` The Prophet (ﷺ) said in the tashahhud: "At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibat, as-salamu 'alaika ayyuhan-Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktuhu. As-salamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibad illahis-salihin, ashahdu an la illaha ill-Allah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu (Allah compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah (SWT) and his blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah (SWT). I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger)."
Hadith 1222
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْنَا السَّلَامَ , حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ , فَأَخَذَنِي مَا قَرُبَ وَمَا بَعُدَ فَجَلَسْتُ حَتَّى إِذَا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ , قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُحْدِثُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ , وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ أَحْدَثَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ أَنْ لَا يُتَكَلَّمَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn Mas'ud said:` "We used to greet the Prophet (ﷺ) with salam and he would return our salam, until we came back from the land of Ethiopia. I greeted him with salam and he did not return my greeting,a nd I started to wonder why. So I sat down; and when he finished praying, he said: 'Allah (SWT) decrees what He wills, and He has decreed what we should not speak during the prayer.'"
Hadith 1278
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَان ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ , وَمَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفْرَضَ التَّشَهُّدُ : السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ , السَّلَامُ عَلَى جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُولُوا هَكَذَا , فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هُوَ السَّلَامُ , وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا : التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ , السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ , السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ , أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn Mas'ud said:` "Before the tashahhud was enjoined, when we prayed we used to say: 'Peace (As-Salam) be upon Allah (SWT), pace be upon Jibril, peace be upon Mika'il.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Do not say this, for indeed Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime, is As-Salam. Rather say: "At-tahiyyatu lillahi wasalawatu wat-tayibaat, as-salamu 'alaika ayah-Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktuhu. As-salamu 'alaina a 'ala ibad illahis-salihin, ashadu an la ilaha ill Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu. (All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.)"
Hadith 1280
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هُوَ السَّلَامُ , فَإِذَا قَعَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ : التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ , السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ , السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ , أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، ثُمَّ لِيَتَخَيَّرْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ مَا شَاءَ " .
´It was narrated that Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is As-Salam the source of peace; the One free from all faults), so when any one of you sits (during the prayer), let him say: At-tahiyyatu lillahi wasalawatu wat-tayibaat, as-salamu 'alaika ayah-Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktuhu. As-salamu 'alaina a 'ala ibad illahis-salihin, ashadu an la ilaha ill Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu. (All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.)" Then after that, let him choose whatever words he wants."
Hadith 1299
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ , وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا إِذَا جَلَسْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ , قُلْنَا : السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ , السَّلَامُ عَلَى فُلَانٍ وَفُلَانٍ , فَقَالَ : رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُولُوا : السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّلَامُ , وَلَكِنْ إِذَا جَلَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ , فَلْيَقُلِ : التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ , عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ , السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ , فَإِنَّكُمْ إِذَا قُلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ أَصَابَتْ كُلَّ عَبْدٍ صَالِحٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ , أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، ثُمَّ لِيَتَخَيَّرْ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ بَعْدُ أَعْجَبَهُ إِلَيْهِ يَدْعُو بِهِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "When we sat during the prayer with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), we used to say: 'Peace (salam) be upon Allah(SWT), peace be upon so-and-so and so-and-so.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Do not say peace (salam) be upon Allah (SWT), for Allah (SWT) is As-Salam (the Source of peace; the One free from all faults). Rather say: At-tahiyyatu lillahi wasalawatu wat-tayibaat, as-salamu 'alaika ayah-Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktuhu. As-salamu 'alaina a 'ala ibad illahis-salihin (All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah.) If you say that, it will be for every righteous slave in the heavens and on earth, "ashadu an la ilaha ill Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu (I bear witness that that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.) Then let him choose any supplication that he likes to say after that.'"
Hadith 1609
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قال : ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ نَامَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ , قَالَ : " ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ بَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abdullah said:` "Mention was made in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about a man who slept all night until morning. He said: 'That is a man in whose ear the Shaitan has urinated.'"
Hadith 1610
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا , قال : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّ فُلَانًا نَامَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ الْبَارِحَةَ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ , قَالَ : " ذَاكَ شَيْطَانٌ بَالَ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abdullah said:` "A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). So-and-so slept and missed the prayer yesterday until morning came.' He said: 'The Shaitan has urinated in that one's ears.'"
Hadith 1622
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , وَالْأَعْمَشِ , وَحُصَيْنٍ , عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَشُوصُ فَاهُ بِالسِّوَاكِ " .
´It was narrated from Hudhaifah that:` When the Prophet (ﷺ) got up to pray at night, he would brush his teeth with the siwak.
Hadith 1623
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قال : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَشُوصُ فَاهُ بِالسِّوَاكِ " .
´It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:` "When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) got up to pray tahajjud at night, he would brush his teeth with the siwak.
Hadith 1624
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قال : " كُنَّا نُؤْمَرُ بِالسِّوَاكِ إِذَا قُمْنَا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ " .
´It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:` "We were commanded to use the siwak when we got up to pray at night."
Hadith 1625
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، قال : " كُنَّا نُؤْمَرُ إِذَا قُمْنَا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ أَنْ نَشُوصَ أَفْوَاهَنَا بِالسِّوَاكِ " .
´It was narrated that Shaqiq said:` "We were commanded, when we got up to pray at night, to clean our mouths with the siwak."
Hadith 1826
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا حَضَرْتُمُ الْمَرِيضَ فَقُولُوا خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُونَ " , فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَقُولُ ؟ قَالَ : " قُولِي ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ وَأَعْقِبْنِي مِنْهُ عُقْبَى حَسَنَةً " , فَأَعْقَبَنِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´It was narrated that Umm Salamah said:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'When you see the dead, say something good, for the angels say Amin to whatever you say; When Abu Salamah died, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what should I say?' He said: 'Say" Allahummaghfirlanaa wa lahu wa a 'qibni minhu 'uqbai hasanah (O Allah, forgive us and him, and compensate me well for this loss.)"' Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, compensated me with Muhammad."
Hadith 1904
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ . ح وأَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ الْأَعْمَشَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ شَقِيقًا ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَبَّابٌ ، قال : " هَاجَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبْتَغِي وَجْهَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فَوَجَبَ أَجْرُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ ، فَمِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا مِنْهُمْ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَلَمْ نَجِدْ شَيْئًا نُكَفِّنُهُ فِيهِ إِلَّا نَمِرَةً ، كُنَّا إِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رَأْسَهُ خَرَجَتْ رِجْلَاهُ , وَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا بِهَا رِجْلَيْهِ خَرَجَتْ رَأْسُهُ ، فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُغَطِّيَ بِهَا رَأْسَهُ وَنَجْعَلَ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ إِذْخِرًا ، وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَيْنَعَتْ لَهُ ثَمَرَتُهُ فَهُوَ يَهْدِبُهَا " , وَاللَّفْظُ لِإِسْمَاعِيلَ .
´Khabbab said:` "We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah, seeking the Face of Allah, the Most High, so our reward became due from Allah. Some of us died without enjoying anything of his reward (in this world) among them is Mus'ab bin Umair. He was matyred on the day of Uhud and we could not find anything to shroud him in except a Namirah; if we covered his head with it, his feet were uncovered, and if we covered his feet with it, his head became uncovered. The Messenger of Allah told us to cover his head with it and to put Idhkhir over his feet. And for some of us, the fruits of our labor have ripened and we are gathering them." This is the wording of Isma'il
Hadith 2033
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيَّاجِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : أَلَا أَبْعَثُكَ عَلَى مَا بَعَثَنِي عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " لَا تَدَعَنَّ قَبْرًا مُشْرِفًا إِلَّا سَوَّيْتَهُ ، وَلَا صُورَةً فِي بَيْتٍ إِلَّا طَمَسْتَهَا " .
´'Ali said:` "Shall I not send you on the same mission as the Messenger of Allah sent me? Do not leave any raised grave without leveling it, or any image in a house without erasing it."
Hadith 2068
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ دَخَلَتْ يَهُودِيَّةٌ عَلَيْهَا فَاسْتَوْهَبَتْهَا شَيْئًا ، فَوَهَبَتْ لَهَا عَائِشَةُ , فَقَالَتْ : أَجَارَكِ اللَّهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَوَقَعَ فِي نَفْسِي مِنْ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُمْ لَيُعَذَّبُونَ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ عَذَابًا تَسْمَعُهُ الْبَهَائِمُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that:` a Jewish woman came to her and asked her to give her something, so 'Aishah gave her something, and she said: "May Allah protect you from the torment of the grave." 'Aishah said:" She made me worried, until the Messenger of Allah came and I mentioned that to him. He said: 'They are tormented in their graves with a torment that the animals hear."'
Hadith 2069
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ عَجُوزَتَانِ مِنْ عُجُزِ يَهُودِ الْمَدِينَةِ , فَقَالَتَا : إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُبُورِ يُعَذَّبُونَ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ فَكَذَّبْتُهُمَا وَلَمْ أَنْعَمْ أَنْ أُصَدِّقَهُمَا ، فَخَرَجَتَا وَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّ عَجُوزَتَيْنِ مِنْ عُجُزِ يَهُودِ الْمَدِينَةِ , قَالَتَا : إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُبُورِ يُعَذَّبُونَ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ , قَالَ : " صَدَقَتَا إِنَّهُمْ يُعَذَّبُونَ عَذَابًا تَسْمَعُهُ الْبَهَائِمُ كُلُّهَا " , فَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَّى صَلَاةً إِلَّا تَعَوَّذَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "Two of the old Jewish women of Al-Madinah came to me and said: 'The people of the graves are tormented in their graves.' But I did not believe them, and I did not believe them, and I did not want to believe them. They left and the Messenger of Allah entered upon me, and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, two of the old Jewish women of Al-Madinah said that the people of the graves are tormented in their graves.' He said: 'They spoke the truth. They are tormented in a manner that all the animals can hear.' And I never saw him offer any Salah but he sought refuge with Allah from the torment of the grave."
Hadith 2443
أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ لَهُ مَالٌ لَا يُؤَدِّي حَقَّ مَالِهِ ، إِلَّا جُعِلَ لَهُ طَوْقًا فِي عُنُقِهِ شُجَاعٌ أَقْرَعُ وَهُوَ يَفِرُّ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ يَتْبَعُهُ " ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ مِصْدَاقَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : وَلا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُوا بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سورة آل عمران آية 180 " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no man who has wealth and does not pay the dues of his wealth, but a baldheaded Shuja'a will be made to encircle his neck, and he will run away from the Book of Allah: 'And let not those who covetously withhold of that which Allah has bestowed on them of His Bounty (wealth)' think that it is good for them (and so they do not pay the obligatory Zakah). Nay, it will be worse for them; the things which they covetously withheld, shall be tied toothier necks like a collar on the Day of Resurrection."'
Hadith 2452
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُهَلْهَلٍ , عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , بَعَثَهُ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَارًا أَوْ عِدْلَهُ مَعَافِرَ ، وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ مِنْ ثَلَاثِينَ تَبِيعًا أَوْ تَبِيعَةً ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ مُسِنَّةً " .
´It was narrated from Muadh:` That the Messenger of Allah sent him to Yemen, and he commanded him to take a Dinar, or its equivalent in Maafr,[1] from each person who had reached the age of puberty. And with regard to cattle, from every thirty a male or female Tabi '(two-year-old). And from every forty a Musinnah (three-year-old). (Daif)
Hadith 2453
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، وَالْأَعْمَشُ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَا : قَالَ مُعَاذٌ : " بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ بَقَرَةً ثَنِيَّةً ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ ثَلَاثِينَ تَبِيعًا ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَارًا أَوْ عِدْلَهُ مَعَافِرَ " .
´Muadh said:` "The Messenger of Allah sent me to Yemen, and he commanded me to take from every forty cows, a cow in its third year, and from every thirty, a Tabi '(two-year-old), and from every person who had reached the age of puberty a Dinar or is equivalent in Maafir." (Daif)
Hadith 2455
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الطُّوسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ بَعَثَنِي إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، أَنْ لَا آخُذَ مِنَ الْبَقَرِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ ثَلَاثِينَ ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ ثَلَاثِينَ فَفِيهَا عِجْلٌ تَابِعٌ جَذَعٌ أَوْ جَذَعَةٌ ، حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ أَرْبَعِينَ فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ أَرْبَعِينَ فَفِيهَا بَقَرَةٌ مُسِنَّةٌ " .
´It was narrated that Muadh to Yemen:` The Messenger of Allah commanded me not to take any cattle until the number had reached thirty. If the number reached thirty, then a Jadh'ah calf in its second year, either male or female, was due on them, until the number reached forty. If the number reached forty. If the number reached forty, then a Musinnah was due on them." (Daif)
Hadith 2492
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ , عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، " فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آخُذَ مِمَّا سَقَتِ السَّمَاءُ الْعُشْرَ ، وَفِيمَا سُقِيَ بِالدَّوَالِي نِصْفَ الْعُشْرِ " .
´It was narrated that Mu'adh said:` "The Messenger of Allah sent me to Yemen and he commanded me to take one-tenth of whatever is irrigated by the sky, and half of one-tenth of whatever is irrigated by means of buckets."
Hadith 2530
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَأْمُرُنَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ ، فَمَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا شَيْئًا يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ حَتَّى يَنْطَلِقَ إِلَى السُّوقِ ، فَيَحْمِلَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَيَجِيءَ بِالْمُدِّ ، فَيُعْطِيَهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُ الْيَوْمَ رَجُلًا لَهُ مِائَةُ أَلْفٍ ، مَا كَانَ لَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ دِرْهَمٌ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Mas'ud said:` "The Messenger of Allah used to tell us to give in charity, and one of us could not find anything to give until he went to the market place and hired himself out to carry loads for people. Then he would bring a Mudd and give it to the Messenger of Allah. I know a man who has a hundred thousand now, but on that day he had (only) one Dirham."
Hadith 2531
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ ، فَتَصَدَّقَ أَبُو عَقِيلٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍ ، وَجَاءَ إِنْسَانٌ بِشَيْءٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنْ صَدَقَةِ هَذَا ، وَمَا فَعَلَ هَذَا الْآخَرُ إِلَّا رِيَاءً " ، فَنَزَلَتْ الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَجِدُونَ إِلا جُهْدَهُمْ سورة التوبة آية 79 .
´It was narrated that Abu Mas 'ud said:` "When the Messenger of Allah commanded us to give in charity, Abu 'Aqil give half a Sa', and another man brought much more than that. The hypocrites said: 'Allah has no need of the charity of the former, and the latter only did it to show off. Then the following was revealed: 'Those who defame such of the believers who give charity voluntarily, and such who could not find to give charity except what is available to them."'[1]
Hadith 2540
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا تَصَدَّقَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا كَانَ لَهَا أَجْرٌ ، وَلِلزَّوْجِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ ، وَلِلْخَازِنِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ ، وَلَا يَنْقُصُ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِنْ أَجْرِ صَاحِبِهِ شَيْئًا ، لِلزَّوْجِ بِمَا كَسَبَ وَلَهَا بِمَا أَنْفَقَتْ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet said:` "When a woman give charity from her husband's house, she will have a reward, and her husband will have a similar reward, and the storekeeper will have a similar reward, without the reward of any of them detracting from the reward of the others in the slightest. The husband will be rewarded for what he earned and she will be rewarded for what she spent."
Hadith 2584
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلنِّسَاءِ : " تَصَدَّقْنَ وَلَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ " ، قَالَتْ : وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ خَفِيفَ ذَاتِ الْيَدِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ : أَيَسَعُنِي أَنْ أَضَعَ صَدَقَتِي فِيكَ وَفِي بَنِي أَخٍ لِي يَتَامَى ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : سَلِي عَنْ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَإِذَا عَلَى بَابِهِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهَا زَيْنَبُ تَسْأَلُ عَمَّا أَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا بِلَالٌ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ : انْطَلِقْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَلْهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَلَا تُخْبِرْهُ مَنْ نَحْنُ ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هُمَا ؟ " , قَالَ : زَيْنَبُ , قَالَ : " أَيُّ الزَّيَانِبِ ؟ " , قَالَ : " زَيْنَبُ امْرَأَةُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَزَيْنَبُ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةُ , قَالَ : " نَعَمْ لَهُمَا أَجْرَانِ ، أَجْرُ الْقَرَابَةِ ، وَأَجْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Zainab, the wife of 'Abdullah, said:` "The Messenger of Allah said to women: 'Give charity, even from women: 'Give charity, even from your jewelry. 'Abdullah was not a wealthy man and she said to him: 'Can I spend my charity on you and on my brother's children who are orphans? 'Abdullah said: 'Ask the Messenger of Allah about that.' She said: So I went to the Messenger of Allah, and at his door I found a woman from among the Ansar who was also called Zainab, and she was asking about the same matter as I was. Bilal came out to us and we said to him: Go to the Messenger of Allah and ask him about that, but do not tell him who we are. He went to the Messenger of Allah and he said:' Who are they?' He said: Zainab.' He said: 'Which Zainab?" He said: 'Zainab Al-Ansariyyah.' Abdullah and Zainab Al-Ansariyyah.' He said: 'Yes, they will have two rewards, the reward for upholding the ties of kinship and the reward dfor giving charity."'
Hadith 2632
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوب ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ , عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَابِعُوا بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ ، فَإِنَّهُمَا يَنْفِيَانِ الْفَقْرَ وَالذُّنُوبَ ، كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ وَالذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَلَيْسَ لِلْحَجِّ الْمَبْرُورِ ثَوَابٌ دُونَ الْجَنَّةِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Perform Hajj and 'Umrah consecutively, for they remove poverty and sin as the bellows removes impurity from iron and gold and silver, and Hajj Al-Mabrur brings no less a reward than Paradise.'''
Hadith 2720
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ الصُّبَيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ : كُنْتُ أَعْرَابِيًّا نَصْرَانِيًّا فَأَسْلَمْتُ ، فَكُنْتُ حَرِيصًا عَلَى الْجِهَادِ ، فَوَجَدْتُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ مَكْتُوبَيْنِ عَلَيَّ ، فَأَتَيْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ عَشِيرَتِي يُقَالُ لَهُ : هُرَيْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " اجْمَعْهُمَا ، ثُمَّ اذْبَحْ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ ، فَأَهْلَلْتُ بِهِمَا فَلَمَّا أَتَيْتُ الْعُذَيْبَ ، لَقِيَنِي سَلْمَانُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ صُوحَانَ ، وَأَنَا أُهِلُّ بِهِمَا ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ : مَا هَذَا بِأَفْقَهَ مِنْ بَعِيرِهِ فَأَتَيْتُ عُمَرَ فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنِّي أَسْلَمْتُ وَأَنَا حَرِيصٌ عَلَى الْجِهَادِ ، وَإِنِّي وَجَدْتُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ مَكْتُوبَيْنِ عَلَيَّ فَأَتَيْتُ هُرَيْمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ : يَا هَنَاهْ إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ مَكْتُوبَيْنِ عَلَيَّ ، فَقَالَ : " اجْمَعْهُمَا ثُمَّ اذْبَحْ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ ، فَأَهْلَلْتُ بِهِمَا ، فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا الْعُذَيْبَ ، لَقِيَنِي سَلْمَانُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ صُوحَانَ ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ : مَا هَذَا بِأَفْقَهَ مِنْ بَعِيرِهِ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : " هُدِيتَ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ".

I was keen to go for Jihad but I learned that Hajj and "Umrah had been enjoined on me, I went to a man of my clan who was called Huraim bin 'Abdullah and asked him, and he said: "Put them together, then slaughter whatever you can of the Hadi, so I entered Ihram for bother together, and when I came to al-'Udhaib, I was met by Salman bin Rabiah and Zaid bin Suhan, while I was uttering the Talbiyah for bothe. One of them said to the other: "He does not understand more than his camel!: I came to 'Umar and said: "O Commander of the Believers! I have become Muslim and I am keen to go for Jihad, but I learned that Hajj and "Umrah were enjoined on me, so I went to Huraim bin 'Abdullah and said: "Hey you! I have learned that Hajj, and 'Umrah have been enjoined on me. He said: 'Put them together then slaughter whatever you can of the Jade' so I entered Ihram for both together, and when I came to Al-Udhaib I was met by Salman bin Rabiah and Zaid bin Suhan, and one of them said to the other: 'He does not understand more than his camel,''' 'Umar said: "You have been guided to the Sunnah of your Prophet
