Hadith 3654
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق , عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ , عَنْ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " عَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ , وَعَنِ الْمِيثَرَةِ " , يَعْنِي : الْحَمْرَاءَ .
´It was narrated that ‘Ali said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade rings of gold and Al-Mitharah,”* meaning the red ones.
Hadith 3938
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ سِمَاكٍ , عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ , قَالَ : أَصَبْنَا غَنَمًا لِلْعَدُوِّ , فَانْتَهَبْنَاهَا , فَنَصَبْنَا قُدُورَنَا , فَمَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْقُدُورِ , فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُكْفِئَتْ , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ النُّهْبَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ " .
´It was narrated that Tha’labah bin Hakam said:` “We came across some of the enemy’s sheep and plundered them, and set up our cooking pots. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by the pots and ordered that they be overturned, then he said: ‘Plunder is not permissible.’”
Hadith 3971
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ , فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say something good, or else remain silent.”
Hadith 4174
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ , عَنْ الْأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَقُولُ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ : الْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي , وَالْعَظَمَةُ إِزَارِي , مَنْ نَازَعَنِي وَاحِدًا مِنْهُمَا أَلْقَيْتُهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Allah, the Glorified, says: ‘Pride is My cloak and greatness My robe, and whoever competes with Me with regard to either of them, I shall throw him into Hell.’”
Hadith 4194
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : قَال لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ " , فَقَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِسُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ , حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغْتُ : فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ شَهِيدًا سورة النساء آية 41 , فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا عَيْنَاهُ تَدْمَعَانِ .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Recite Qur’an to me,’ so I recited Surat An-Nisa’ to him, and when I reached (the Verse): “How (will it be) then, when We bring forth from each nation a witness and We bring you as a witness against these people?” [4:41] I looked at him, and his eyes were filled with tears.”
Hadith 4237
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ , قَالَتْ : " وَالَّذِي ذَهَبَ بِنَفْسِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , مَا مَاتَ حَتَّى كَانَ أَكْثَرُ صَلَاتِهِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ , وَكَانَ أَحَبَّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَيْهِ الْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ , الَّذِي يَدُومُ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيرًا " .
´It was narrated that Umm Salamah said:` “By the One Who took his (ﷺ) soul, he did not die until most of his prayers were offered sitting down. And the most beloved of deeds to him was a righteous deed which a person persists in doing, even if it is something small.”
Hadith 4340
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَأَلَ الْجَنَّةَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ , قَالَتِ الْجَنَّةُ : اللَّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ , وَمَنِ اسْتَجَارَ مِنَ النَّارِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ , قَالَتِ النَّارُ : اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever asks for Paradise, three times, Paradise will say: “O Allah, admit him to Paradise.” And whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times, Hell will say: “O Allah, save him from Hell.”
