Hadith 251
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قال : تَمَارَوْا فِي الْغُسْلِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ : إِنِّي لَأَغْسِلُ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثَ أَكُفٍّ " .
´It was narrated that Jubair bin Mut'im said:` "They argued about Ghusl in the presence of the messenger of Allah (ﷺ). One of the people said: 'I perform Ghusl in such-and-such a manner.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'As for me, I pour three handfuls of water over my head.'"
Hadith 425
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ الْغُسْلُ ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُفْرِغُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثًا " . لَفْظُ سُوَيْدٍ .
´It was narrated from Jubair bin Mut'im that mention of Ghusl was made in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said:` "As for me, I pour water on my head three times."
Hadith 586
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ مِنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بَابَاهَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ لَا تَمْنَعُوا أَحَدًا طَافَ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ وَصَلَّى أَيَّةَ سَاعَةٍ شَاءَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ " .
´It was narrated from Jubair bin Mut'im that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "O Banu 'Abd Manaf, do not prevent anyone from circumambulating this House and praying at any time he wants of night or day."
Hadith 625
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ خُشَيْشُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ فِي سَفَرٍ لَهُ : " مَنْ يَكْلَؤُنَا اللَّيْلَةَ لَا نَرْقُدَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ؟ " قَالَ بِلَالٌ : أَنَا ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ مَطْلَعَ الشَّمْسِ فَضُرِبَ عَلَى آذَانِهِمْ حَتَّى أَيْقَظَهُمْ حَرُّ الشَّمْسِ ، فَقَامُوا ، فَقَالَ : " تَوَضَّئُوا ، ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَصَلَّوْا رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ صَلَّوْا الْفَجْرَ " .
´It was narrated from Nafi' bin Jubair, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said during a journey:` "Who will watch out for dawn for us, so that we do not sleep and miss the dawn prayer?" Bilal said: 'I will.' He turned to face the direction where the sun woke them up, then they got up. He said: 'Perform Wudu'.' Then Bilal called the Adhan and he prayed two Rak'ahs, and they prayed the two (Sunnah) Rak'ahs of Fajr, then they prayed Fajr."
Hadith 988
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِالطُّورِ " .
´It was narrated from Muhammad bin Jubair bin Mut'im that:` His father said: "I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) recite At-Tur in Maghrib."
Hadith 2927
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَابَاهَ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ ، لَا تَمْنَعُنَّ أَحَدًا طَافَ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ وَصَلَّى أَيَّ سَاعَةٍ شَاءَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ " .
´It was narrated from Jubair bin Mutim that the Prophet said:` "O Banu Abd Manaf, do not prevent anyone from circumambulating this House of praying at any time of the night or day he wishes."
Hadith 3016
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : أَضْلَلْتُ بَعِيرًا لِي فَذَهَبْتُ أَطْلُبُهُ بِعَرَفَةَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ ، " فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاقِفًا ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا شَأْنُ هَذَا إِنَّمَا هَذَا مِنَ الْحُمْسِ " .
´It was narrated from Muhammad bin Jubir bin Mutim that his father:` "I lost a camel of mine, so I went to look for it in Arafat on the day of Arafat. I saw the Prophet standing there and said: 'what is he doing here?' He is one of the Hums.'"
Hadith 4141
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّ جُبَيْرَ بْنَ مُطْعِمٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّهُ جَاءَ هُوَ , وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يُكَلِّمَانِهِ فِيمَا قَسَمَ مِنْ خُمُسِ حُنَيْنٍ بَيْنَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ ؟ ، فَقَالَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَسَمْتَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ , وَلَمْ تُعْطِنَا شَيْئًا , وَقَرَابَتُنَا مِثْلُ قَرَابَتِهِمْ . فَقَالَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا أَرَى هَاشِمًا , وَالْمُطَّلِبَ شَيْئًا وَاحِدًا " ، قَالَ جُبَيْرُ بْنُ مُطْعِمٍ : وَلَمْ يَقْسِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ ، وَلَا لِبَنِي نَوْفَلٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْخُمُسِ شَيْئًا كَمَا قَسَمَ لِبَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ .
´Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab narrated that Jubair bin Mut'im told him:` "He and 'Uthman bin 'Affan came to the Messenger of Allah to speak to him about what he had distributed of the Khumus of Hunain to Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib bin 'Abd Manaf. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you distributed it to our brothers; Banu Al-Muttalib bin 'Abd Manaf, and you did not give us anything, and our relationship to you in the same as theirs. 'The Messenger of Allah said to them: 'I see that Hashim and Al-Muttalib are the same." Jubair bin Mut'im said: "The Messenger of Allah did not allocate anything to Banu 'Abd Shams or Banu Nawfal from that Khumus, as he allocated to Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib."
Hadith 4142
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَهْمَ ذِي الْقُرْبَى بَيْنَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ , وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ , أَتَيْتُهُ أَنَا وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ، فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو هَاشِمٍ لَا نُنْكِرُ فَضْلَهُمْ لِمَكَانِكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنْهُمْ ، أَرَأَيْتَ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ أَعْطَيْتَهُمْ , وَمَنَعْتَنَا ، فَإِنَّمَا نَحْنُ وَهُمْ مِنْكَ بِمَنْزِلَةٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يُفَارِقُونِي فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَلَا إِسْلَامٍ إِنَّمَا بَنُو هَاشِمٍ , وَبَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ شَيْءٌ وَاحِدٌ " ، وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ .
´It was narrated that Jubair bin Mut'im said:` "When the Messenger of Allah distributed the share for his relatives to Banu Hashim and BanuA-Muttalib, I came to himwith 'Uthman bin 'Affan and we said: 'O Messenger of Allah, no one denies the virtue of Banu Hashim because of the relationship between you and them. But how come you have given (a share) to Banu Al-Muttalib and not to us? They and we share the same degree of relationship to you. 'The Messenger of Allah said: "They did not abandon me during the Jahiliyyah or in Islam. Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib are the same thing, and he interlaced his fingers."
