Hadith 680
حَدَّثَنَا تَمِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْتَصِرِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ بِالْهَاجِر ، فَقَالَ لَنَا : " أَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
´It was narrated that Mughirah bin Shu'bah said:` We were praying Zuhr with the Messenger of Allah at the time of intense heat (i.e., midday when the sun has just passed its zenith) and he said to us, "Wait for it to cool down before you pray, for intense heat is from the flaring up of the Hell-fire."
Hadith 2991
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ ، وَجَابِرٌ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ خَنْبَشٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُول اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ ، تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً " .
´It was narrated from Wahb bin Khanbash that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “ ‘Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj (i.e. in reward).”
Hadith 3148
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَرِيحَةَ ، قَالَ : " حَمَلَنِي أَهْلِي عَلَى الْجَفَاءِ بَعْدَ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ ، كَانَ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ يُضَحُّونَ بِالشَّاةِ وَالشَّاتَيْنِ ، وَالْآنَ يُبَخِّلُنَا جِيرَانُنَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Sarihah said:` “My family started to put pressure on me after I came to know the Sunnah. People used to sacrifice one or two sheep, but now our neighbors call us stingy.”
Hadith 3208
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَيَانُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّا قَوْمٌ نَصِيدُ بِهَذِهِ الْكِلَابِ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ كِلَابَكَ الْمُعَلَّمَةَ وَذَكَرْتَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا فَكُلْ ، مَا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكَ إِنْ قَتَلْنَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الْكَلْبُ ، فَإِنْ أَكَلَ الْكَلْبُ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ ، إِنَّمَا أَمْسَكَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ ، وَإِنْ خَالَطَهَا كِلَابٌ أُخَرُ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ " قَالَ ابْن مَاجَةَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَعْنِي عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْمُنْذِرِ ، يَقُولُ : حَجَجْتُ ثَمَانِيَةً وَخَمْسِينَ حِجَّةً أَكْثَرُهَا رَاجِلٌ .
´It was narrated that ‘Adi bin Hatim said:` “I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): ‘We are people who hunt with these dogs.’ He said: ‘If you send out your trained dogs and mention the Name of Allah over them, then eat whatever they catch even if they kill it, unless the dog has eaten any of it. If the dog has eaten any of it then do not eat it, for I fear that it will have caught it for itself. And if another dog joins it, then do not eat it.’”
