Hadith 2386
حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا

أَشْعَثَ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ وَلَهُ مَا اكْتَسَبَ " , وفي الباب عن عَلِيٍّ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَصَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَأَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` " A man shall be with whoever he loves, and for him shall be what he has earned."
Hadith 2394
´Abu Hurairah narrated:` "The Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) ordered us to throw dut in the mouths of those who praise others."
Hadith 2425

عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُعْرَضُ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثَلَاثَ عَرْضَاتٍ ، فَأَمَّا عَرْضَتَانِ فَجِدَالٌ وَمَعَاذِيرُ ، وَأَمَّا الْعَرْضَةُ الثَّالِثَةُ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ تَطِيرُ الصُّحُفُ فِي الْأَيْدِي ، فَآخِذٌ بِيَمِينِهِ ، وَآخِذٌ بِشِمَالِهِ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَلَا يَصِحُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ
عَلِيٍّ الرِّفَاعِيِّ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَلَا يَصِحُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِي مُوسَى .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "The people will face three presentations on the Day of Judgement. As for (the first) two presentations, they are the arguments and the excuses, as for the third presentation, upon that the records will fly into the hands. Some will take them in their right hand, and some will take them in their left hand." [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is not correct, because Al-Hasan did not hear from Abu Hurairah. Some of them reported it from 'Ali bin 'Ali - and he is Ar-Rifa'i - from Al-Hasan, from Abu Musã from the Prophet SAW. [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is not correct, because Al-Hasan did not hear from Abü Musa].
Hadith 2427
حَدَّثَنَا
سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا
ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا
إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ ,
وَقَتَادَةَ , عَنْ
أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يُجَاءُ بِابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُ بَذَجٌ ، فَيُوقَفُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ لَهُ : أَعْطَيْتُكَ وَخَوَّلْتُكَ وَأَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ ، فَمَاذَا صَنَعْتَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ جَمَعْتُهُ وَثَمَّرْتُهُ فَتَرَكْتُهُ أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ فَارْجِعْنِي آتِكَ بِهِ ، فَيَقُولُ لَهُ : أَرِنِي مَا قَدَّمْتَ ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ جَمَعْتُهُ وَثَمَّرْتُهُ فَتَرَكْتُهُ أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ فَارْجِعْنِي آتِكَ بِهِ كُلِّهِ ، فَإِذَا عَبْدٌ لَمْ يُقَدِّمْ خَيْرًا فَيُمْضَى بِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَقَدَ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَوْلَهُ وَلَمْ يُسْنِدُوهُ ، وَإِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ ، وفي الباب عن أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ .
´Anas narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said:` "The son of Adam will be brought on the Day of Judgement as if he is a goat kid to be stood before Allah, Most High. Allah will say to him: 'I gave to you, I granted you, and I bestowed favors upon you. So what did you do?' So he says: 'I collected it, increased it, and left it as more than what it was. So return me and I shall give it all to You.' So He will say to him: 'Show me what you have prepared.' So he says: 'My Lord! I collected it, increased it and left it more than it was, So return me and I shall give it all to You.' So when the servant does not present any good he will be entered into the Fire." Abu 'Eisa said: More than one narrator reported this from Al-Hasan as his saying. And they did not rely upon Ismä'il bin Muslim who was graded weak in Hadith [due to his memory]. There are narrations on this topic from Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri.
Hadith 2439
´Al-Hasan Al-Basri said:` "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'On the Day of Judgement, 'Uthman bin 'Affan will intercede for (an amount) the likes of Rabi'ah and Mudar.'"
Hadith 2443
´Samurah narrated the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)said:` "Indeed there is a Hawd for every Prophet, and indeed they compete to see which of them has the most arriving at it. Indeed I hope that mine will be the one with the most arrival."
Hadith 2575

فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ

الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ : قَالَ
عُتْبَةُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ : عَلَى مِنْبَرِنَا هَذَا مِنْبَرِ الْبَصْرَةِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الصَّخْرَةَ الْعَظِيمَةَ لَتُلْقَى مِنْ شَفِيرِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتَهْوِي فِيهَا سَبْعِينَ عَامًا وَمَا تُفْضِي إِلَى قَرَارِهَا " , قَالَ : وَكَانَ عُمَرُ , يَقُولُ : أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ النَّارِ فَإِنَّ حَرَّهَا شَدِيدٌ وَإِنَّ قَعْرَهَا بَعِيدٌ وَإِنَّ مَقَامِعَهَا حَدِيدٌ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : لَا نَعْرِفُ لِلْحَسَنِ سَمَاعًا مِنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ ، وَإِنَّمَا قَدِمَ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ الْبَصْرَةَ فِي زَمَنِ عُمَرَ وَوُلِدَ الْحَسَنُ لِسَنَتَيْنِ بَقِيَتَا مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ .
´Al-Hasan said:` "While he was on the pulpit – the pulpit of Al-Basrah – `Utbah bin Ghazwain narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: “Indeed a giant rock can be thrown from the brink of Hell and it will continue to fall into it for seventy years without reaching the bottom of it.”.He said: “`Umar used to say:'Increase in your remembrance of the Fire, for its heat is extreme, its bottom is distant, and its whips are of Iron.'” (Sahih)
Hadith 2703
حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى،
وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا
رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنْ
حَبِيبِ بْنِ الشَّهِيدِ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يُسَلِّمُ الرَّاكِبُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي ، وَالْمَاشِي عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ ، وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ وَزَادَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَيُسَلِّمُ الصَّغِيرُ عَلَى الْكَبِيرِ " , وفي الباب عن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ ، وَفَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، وَجَابِرٍ , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وقَالَ أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ ، وَيُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ : إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
´Narrated Al-Hasan:` from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The rider gives the Salam to the walking person, and the walking person to the sitting person and the few to the many." Ibn Al-Muthanna added in his narration: "And the young one gives the Salam to the elder."
Hadith 2788
´Narrated 'Imran bin Husain:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) said [to me]: 'Indeed the best fragrance for men is what's scent is apparent and its color is hidden, and the best fragrance for women is what's color is visible and its scent is hidden.' And he prohibited Mitharatil-Urjawan (Mitharah was some type of saddle cloth. Some of the people of knowledge say it was a certain kind of cloth made of silk, and it preceded earlier under no. 1760. They disagree over Al-Urjawan, and perhaps it means whatever is red, meaning the Red Mitahrah, see Tuhfat Al-Ahwadhi)."
Hadith 2889
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever recites Ha Mum Ad-Dukhan during Friday night, he shall be forgiven."
Hadith 2917

خَيْثَمَةَ، عنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَى قَاصٍّ يَقْرَأُ ، ثُمَّ سَأَلَ فَاسْتَرْجَعَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلْيَسْأَلِ اللَّهَ بِهِ فَإِنَّهُ سَيَجِيءُ أَقْوَامٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ يَسْأَلُونَ بِهِ النَّاسَ " ، وَقَالَ مَحْمُودٌ : وَهَذَا خَيْثَمَةُ الْبَصْرِيُّ الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْهُ جَابِرٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، وَلَيْسَ هُوَ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَخَيْثَمَةُ هَذَا شَيْخٌ بَصْرِيٌّ يُكْنَى أَبَا نَصْرٍ قَدْ رَوَى عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَحَادِيثَ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى جَابِرٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ هَذَا أَيْضًا أَحَادِيثَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ لَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِذَاكَ .
´Narrated Al-Hasan:` that 'Imran bin Husain passed by a reciter reciting then he began begging. So he ('Imran) said: 'Indeed we are from Allah and to Him shall we return.' Then he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'Whoever recites the Qur'an, then let him ask Allah by it. For indeed there will come a people, who will recite the Qur'an, asking from the people because of it.'"
Hadith 2981

عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا
الْهَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنِ
الْمُبَارَكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، " أَنَّهُ زَوَّجَ أُخْتَهُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ مَا كَانَتْ ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا تَطْلِيقَةً لَمْ يُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتِ الْعِدَّةُ ، فَهَوِيَهَا وَهَوِيَتْهُ ثُمَّ خَطَبَهَا مَعَ الْخُطَّابِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : يَا لُكَعُ أَكْرَمْتُكَ بِهَا وَزَوَّجْتُكَهَا فَطَلَّقْتَهَا وَاللَّهِ لَا تَرْجِعُ إِلَيْكَ أَبَدًا آخِرُ مَا عَلَيْكَ ، قَالَ : فَعَلِمَ اللَّهُ حَاجَتَهُ إِلَيْهَا وَحَاجَتَهَا إِلَى بَعْلِهَا ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى : وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ : وَأَنْتُمْ لا تَعْلَمُونَ سورة البقرة آية 232 ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَهَا مَعْقِلٌ قَالَ : سَمْعًا لِرَبِّي وَطَاعَةً ، ثُمَّ دَعَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : أُزَوِّجُكَ وَأُكْرِمُكَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَهُوَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ غَرِيبٌ ، وَفِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَا يَجُوزُ النِّكَاحُ بِغَيْرِ وَلِيٍّ لِأَنَّ أُخْتَ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ كَانَتْ ثَيِّبًا فَلَوْ كَانَ الْأَمْرُ إِلَيْهَا دُونَ وَلِيِّهَا لَزَوَّجَتْ نَفْسَهَا وَلَمْ تَحْتَجْ إِلَى وَلِيِّهَا مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، وَإِنَّمَا خَاطَبَ اللَّهُ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ الْأَوْلِيَاءَ ، فَقَالَ : فَلا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَنْ يَنْكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ سورة البقرة آية 232 فَفِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ إِلَى الْأَوْلِيَاءِ فِي التَّزْوِيجِ مَعَ رِضَاهُنَّ .
´Narrated Al-Hasan:` from Ma'qil bin Yasar that he married his sister to a man among the Muslims during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). She remained with him as long as she did, then he divorced her once without taking her back until her 'Iddah elapsed, but they desired each other again. He (Ma'qil) said to him: 'You ingrate! I honored you by marrying her to you, then you divorced her. By Allah! She will never be returned to you again.' Allah knew of his heed for her and her need for a husband, so Allah, Blessed and Most High, revealed: 'And when you have divorced women and they have fulfilled the term of their prescribed period...' up to His saying: '... and you do not know (2:232).' So when Ma'qil heard that he said: 'I heard my Lord and obey.' Then he called for him and said: 'I marry you, and honor you.'" [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. It has been reported through other routes from AlHasan, and that is reported from Hasan is Gharib. And in this Hadtth, there is proof that marriage is not allowed without a Wali, because Ma'qil bin Yasãr's sister was not a virgin, so if the matter was up to her, not her Wali, then she could have married herself, and she would have had no need for Ma'qil bin Yasãr to act as the Wali for her. And Allah only addressed the Wali in this Ayah, saying: Do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands. - so in this Ayah is the evidence that the authority is with the Wali in marrying (women) with their consent.
Hadith 2983
´Narrated Samurah bin Jundab:` "The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The middle Salat is Salat Al-'Asr.'"
Hadith 3077

عُمَرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ
قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا حَمَلَتْ حَوَّاءُ طَافَ بِهَا إِبْلِيسُ وَكَانَ لَا يَعِيشُ لَهَا وَلَدٌ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِّيهِ عَبْدَ الْحَارِثِ فَسَمَّتْهُ عَبْدَ الْحَارِثِ فَعَاشَ ، وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ وَحْيِ الشَّيْطَانِ وَأَمْرِهِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عُمَرَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، وَرَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ ، عُمَرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ شَيْخٌ بَصْرِيٌّ .
´Narrated Samurah bin Jundab:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When Hawwa became pregnant, Iblis came to her - and her children would not live (after birth) - so he said: 'Name him 'Abdul-Harith.' So she named him 'Abdul-Harith and he lived. So that is among the inspirations of Ash-Shaitan and his commands."

عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ : يَأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ وَلَكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ سورة الحج آية 1 ـ 2 قَالَ : أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَهُوَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَقَالَ : " أَتَدْرُونَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ ذَلِكَ ؟ " فَقَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " ذَلِكَ يَوْمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ لِآدَمَ ابْعَثْ بَعْثَ النَّارِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَبِّ ، وَمَا بَعْثُ النَّارِ ؟ قَالَ : تِسْعُ مِائَةٍ وَتِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَوَاحِدٌ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ " ، قَالَ : فَأَنْشَأَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يَبْكُونَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَارِبُوا وَسَدِّدُوا فَإِنَّهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ نُبُوَّةٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا كَانَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا جَاهِلِيَّةٌ " ، قَالَ : فَيُؤْخَذُ الْعَدَدُ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَإِنْ تَمَّتْ ، وَإِلَّا كَمُلَتْ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ ، وَمَا مَثَلُكُمْ وَالْأُمَمِ إِلَّا كَمَثَلِ الرَّقْمَةِ فِي ذِرَاعِ الدَّابَّةِ ، أَوْ كَالشَّامَةِ فِي جَنْبِ الْبَعِيرِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونُوا رُبْعَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَكَبَّرُوا " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونُوا ثُلُثَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَكَبَّرُوا " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونُوا نِصْفَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَكَبَّرُوا " ، قَالَ : لَا أَدْرِي ، قَالَ : الثُّلُثَيْنِ أَمْ لَا ، قَالَ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Narrated 'Imran bin Husain:` when (the following) was revealed: "O mankind! Have Taqwa of your Lord! Verily the earthquake of the hour is a terrible thing..." up to His saying: "But Allah's torment is severe...(22:1 & 2)" - he said: "These Ayat were revealed while he (ﷺ) was on a journey and he said: 'Do you know what Day this is?' So they said: 'Allah and His Messenger know better.' He said: 'That is the day when Allah says to Adam: Send forth those who are to be sent to the Fire. So he says: O Lord! How many are to be sent? He says: Nine-hundred and ninety-nine in the Fire, and one to Paradise. He said: "So the Muslims started crying. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Close your ranks and be straight forward, for there was never any Prophethood but there was a time of ignorance just before his advent, so the number will be taken from that time of ignorance, and if that is not enough, it will be made up of the hypocrites. The parable of you and the other nations is that you are like a mark on the foreleg of an animal, or a mole on the flank of a camel.' Then he said: 'I hope that you will be a quarter of the people of Paradise.' They said: Allahu Akbar. Then he said: 'I hope that you will be a third of the people of Paradise.' They said: Allahu Akbar. Then he said: 'I hope that you will be half of the people of Paradise.' They said: Allahu Akbar." He said: "I do not know if he said two thirds or not."
Hadith 3169

قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ
عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَتَفَاوَتَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ فِي السَّيْرِ ، فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَوْتَهُ بِهَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ : " يَأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ سورة الحج آية 1 ـ 2 " ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ ذَلِكَ أَصْحَابُهُ حَثُّوا الْمَطِيَّ وَعَرَفُوا أَنَّهُ عِنْدَ قَوْلٍ يَقُولُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ ذَلِكَ ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " ذَاكَ يَوْمٌ يُنَادِي اللَّهُ فِيهِ آدَمَ فَيُنَادِيهِ رَبُّهُ ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا آدَمُ ابْعَثْ بَعْثَ النَّارِ ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ ، وَمَا بَعْثُ النَّارِ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : مِنْ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ تِسْعُ مِائَةٍ وَتِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَوَاحِدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " ، فَيَئِسَ الْقَوْمُ حَتَّى مَا أَبَدَوْا بِضَاحِكَةٍ ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِي بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، قَالَ : " اعْمَلُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّكُمْ لَمَعَ خَلِيقَتَيْنِ مَا كَانَتَا مَعَ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا كَثَّرَتَاهُ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ ، وَمَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ وَبَنِي إِبْلِيسَ ، قَالَ : فَسُرِّيَ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ بَعْضُ الَّذِي يَجِدُونَ ، فَقَالَ : " اعْمَلُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، مَا أَنْتُمْ فِي النَّاسِ إِلَّا كَالشَّامَةِ فِي جَنْبِ الْبَعِيرِ ، أَوْ كَالرَّقْمَةِ فِي ذِرَاعِ الدَّابَّةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated 'Imran bin Husain:` "We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey when some of his Companions fell behind. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) raised his voice reciting these two Ayat: "O mankind! Have Taqwa of your Lord! Verily the earthquake of the hour is a terrible thing..." up to His saying: but Allah's torment is severe (21:1 & 2)." When his Companions heard that, they hastened to catch up with him, since they knew that he had something to say. He (ﷺ) said: 'Do you know what Day this is? That is the Day when Adam will be called. His Lord will call him and say: O Adam, send forth those who are to be sent to the Fire. He will say: O Lord! How many are to be sent to the Fire? He will say: From every one-thousand there are nine-hundred and ninety-nine for the Fire and one for Paradise. So the people despaired as if they would not smile again. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw the state of his Companions, he said: 'Strive hard and receive the good news. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, you will be counted with two creations who are immense in numbers; Ya'juj and Ma'juj, and those who have died among the progeny of Adam and the progeny of Iblis.'" He said: "So some of the people's grief went away, and he (ﷺ) said: 'Strive hard and receive the good news. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! Among mankind, you are but like the mole on the flank of a camel, or a mark on the foreleg of a beast.'"
Hadith 3221

وَمُحَمَّدٍ،
وَخِلَاسٍ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام كَانَ رَجُلًا حَيِيًّا سَتِيرًا مَا يُرَى مِنْ جِلْدِهِ شَيْءٌ اسْتِحْيَاءً مِنْهُ ، فَآذَاهُ مَنْ آذَاهُ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ " ، فَقَالُوا : مَا يَسْتَتِرُ هَذَا السِّتْرَ إِلَّا مِنْ عَيْبٍ بِجِلْدِهِ ، إِمَّا بَرَصٌ ، وَإِمَّا أُدْرَةٌ ، وَإِمَّا آفَةٌ ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَرِّئَهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا ، وَإِنَّ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام خَلَا يَوْمًا وَحْدَهُ فَوَضَعَ ثِيَابَهُ عَلَى حَجَرٍ ، ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَقْبَلَ إِلَى ثِيَابِهِ لِيَأْخُذَهَا ، وَإِنَّ الْحَجَرَ عَدَا بِثَوْبِهِ فَأَخَذَ مُوسَى عَصَاهُ فَطَلَبَ الْحَجَرَ ، فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ : ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ ، حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى مَلَإٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَرَأَوْهُ عُرْيَانًا أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ خَلْقًا ، وَأَبْرَأَهُ مِمَّا كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ ، قَالَ : وَقَامَ الْحَجَرُ فَأَخَذَ ثَوْبَهُ وَلَبِسَهُ وَطَفِقَ بِالْحَجَرِ ضَرْبًا بِعَصَاهُ فَوَاللَّهِ إِنَّ بِالْحَجَرِ لَنَدَبًا مِنْ أَثَرِ عَصَاهُ ثَلَاثًا أَوْ أَرْبَعًا أَوْ خَمْسًا فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَجِيهًا سورة الأحزاب آية 69 " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَفِيهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Verily Musa, peace be upon him, was a shy and modest man, who would never show anything of his skin out of modesty. Some of the Children of Isra'il annoyed him by saying: 'He only keeps himself covered because of some defect in his skin, either leprosy, a scrotal hernia or some other defect.' Allah [the Mighty and Sublime] wanted to free Musa from what they were saying about him. One day Musa, [peace be upon him], was alone. He took off his garment, and put it on a rock, then he took a bath. When he had finished, he turned back to pick up his garment, but the rock moved away, taking his garment with it. Musa picked up his staff, and chased the rock saying: 'My garment, O you rock! My garment, O you rock!' Until he reached a group of the Children of Isra'il who saw him naked, and discovered that he was the best of those whom Allah had created." He said: "The rock stood still, he took his garment and put it on. He started striking the rock with his staff, and by Allah, the marks of that beating were left on the rock; three, four, or five. This is what is referred to in the Ayah: ' O you who believe! Be not like those who annoyed Musa, but Allah freed him from what they had alleged, and he was honourable before Allah (33:69).'"
Hadith 3230
´Samurah narrated regarding the saying of Allah, Most High:` And his progeny, them We made survivors (37:77).' The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Ham, Sam and Yafith" - with (the letter) Tha.
Hadith 3231
´Narrated Samurah:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Sam was the father of Arabs, Ham the father of the Ethiopians, and Yafith the father of the Romans."
Hadith 3271
´Narrated Al-Hasan:` from Samurah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Al-Hasab is wealth and Al-Karam is Taqwa."
Hadith 3298

الْحَسَنُ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ وَأَصْحَابُهُ إِذْ أَتَى عَلَيْهِمْ سَحَابٌ ، فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا هَذَا ؟ " فَقَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " هَذَا الْعَنَانُ ، هَذِهِ رَوَايَا الْأَرْضِ يَسُوقُهُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَى قَوْمٍ لَا يَشْكُرُونَهُ وَلَا يَدْعُونَهُ " ، قَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا فَوْقَكُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّهَا الرَّقِيعُ سَقْفٌ مَحْفُوظٌ وَمَوْجٌ مَكْفُوفٌ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ كَمْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهَا ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهَا مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ سَمَاءَيْنِ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ ، حَتَّى عَدَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ سَمَاءَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ الْعَرْشَ وَبَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ بُعْدُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءَيْنِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا الَّذِي تَحْتَكُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّهَا الْأَرْضُ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا الَّذِي تَحْتَ ذَلِكَ ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ تَحْتَهَا الأَرْضَ الأُخْرَى بَيْنَهُمَا مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ ، حَتَّى عَدَّ سَبْعَ أَرَضِينَ بَيْنَ كُلِّ أَرْضَيْنِ مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ دَلَّيْتُمْ رَجُلًا بِحَبْلٍ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ السُّفْلَى لَهَبَطَ عَلَى اللَّهِ " ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : هُوَ الأَوَّلُ وَالآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ سورة الحديد آية 3 " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، قَالَ : وَيُرْوَى عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، وَيُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، قَالُوا : لَمْ يَسْمَعِ الْحَسَنُ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَفَسَّرَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، فَقَالُوا : إِنَّمَا هَبَطَ عَلَى عِلْمِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ وَسُلْطَانِهِ ، عِلْمُ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتُهُ وَسُلْطَانُهُ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ كَمَا وَصَفَ فِي كِتَابهِ .
´Al-Hasan narrated that:` Abu Hurairah said: “Once when the Prophet of Allah was sitting with his Companions, a cloud came above them, so the Prophet of Allah said: ‘Do you know what this is?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘These are the clouds that are to drench the earth, which Allah [Blessed and Most High] dispatches to people who are not grateful to Him, nor supplicate to Him.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is above you?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Indeed it is a preserved canopy of the firmament whose surge is restrained.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know how much is between you and between it?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Between you and it [is the distance] of five-hundred year.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is above that.’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Verily, above that are two Heavens, between the two of them there is a distance of five-hundred years’ – until he enumerated seven Heavens – ‘What is between each of the two Heavens is what is between the heavens and the earth.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is above that?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Verily, above that is the Throne between it and the heavens is a distance [like] what is between two of the heavens.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is under you?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Indeed it is the earth.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is under that?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Verily, below it is another earth, between the two of which is a distance of five-hundred years.’ Until he enumerated seven earths: ‘Between every two earths is a distance of five-hundred years.’ Then he said: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! If you were to send [a man] down with a rope to the lowest earth, then he would descend upon Allah.’ Then he recited: He is Al-Awwal, Al-Akhir, Az-Zahir Al-Batin, and He has knowledge over all things.”

عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَبِي : " يَا حُصَيْنُ ، كَمْ تَعْبُدُ الْيَوْمَ إِلَهًا ؟ " قَالَ أَبِي : سَبْعَةً سِتَّةً فِي الْأَرْضِ وَوَاحِدًا فِي السَّمَاءِ ، قَالَ : " فَأَيُّهُمْ تَعُدُّ لِرَغْبَتِكَ وَرَهْبَتِكَ ؟ " قَالَ : الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ ، قَالَ : " يَا حُصَيْنُ ، أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوْ أَسْلَمْتَ عَلَّمْتُكَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ تَنْفَعَانِكَ " ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَ حُصَيْنٌ ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، عَلِّمْنِيَ الْكَلِمَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ وَعَدْتَنِي ، فَقَالَ : " قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ أَلْهِمْنِي رُشْدِي وَأَعِذْنِي مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
´Imran bin Husain narrated:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) said to my father: ‘O Husain, how many deities do you worship now?‘ He said: ‘Seven. Six in the earth, and one above the heavens.’ He said: ‘So which of them do you take for your ardent requests and fears?’ He said: ‘The one above the heavens.’ He said: ‘O Husain, if you would but accept Islam, I would teach you two phrases that would benefit you.’” He said: “So when Husain accepted Islam, he said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, teach me the two phrases you promised me.’ So he (ﷺ) said: “Say: O Allah, inspire me with my guidance, and protect me from the evil of my soul (Allāhumma alhimnī rushdī, wa a`idhnī min sharri nafsī).’”
