Muwatta Malik (Yahya) 706 — on ghusl for entering the state of ihram
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ لِإِحْرَامِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَلِدُخُولِهِ مَكَّةَ وَلِوُقُوفِهِ عَشِيَّةَ عَرَفَةَ "
It is narrated from Nafi that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to perform ghusl (ritual bath) for the purpose of ihram before assuming ihram, and he used to perform ghusl for entering Makkah, and he used to perform ghusl on the ninth (of Dhul-Hijjah) for staying at Arafat.
