Muwatta Malik (Yahya) 1655 — on What is Reported Regarding Letting
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى مَنْ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, will not look at the person on the Day of Resurrection who lets his lower garment hang out of pride."
