أخبرنا إبراهيم بن عِصْمة العَدْل، حدثنا السَّرِيّ بن خُزَيمة، حدثنا مُسلِم بن إبراهيم، حدثنا هشام، عن يحيى بن أبي كَثير، عن أبي راشد الحُبْراني، عن عبد الرحمن بن شِبْل قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "إِنَّ الفُسّاق هم أهلُ النار" قالوا: يا رسول الله، وما الفُسّاق؟ قال: "النساءُ" قال رجل: يا رسول الله، ألسْنَ أمَّهاتِنا وأخَواتِنا وأزواجَنا؟ قال: "بلى، ولكنَّهنَّ إذا أُعطِينَ لم يَشكُرن، وإذا ابتُلِينَ لم يَصبِرنَ" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Shibl (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Indeed, the fussaq (the disobedient) are the people of the Fire." The Companions said: O Messenger of Allah! Who are the fussaq? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The women." A man said: O Messenger of Allah! Are they not our mothers, our sisters and our wives? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Certainly! But (the state of most of them is that) when they are given something they do not give thanks, and when they are tested they are not patient."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(3) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد رجاله ثقات إلَّا أنه اختلف فيه على يحيى بن أبي كثير كما سلف بيانه عند الحديث رقم (2174)، فهما من حديث واحد، وسلفت هذه القطعة برقم (2808) من رواية معمر عن يحيى بن أبي كثير.
Grading: (3) This hadith is sahih; the narrators of this chain are trustworthy, but there was disagreement over it on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, as was explained under hadith number (2174), for the two are from a single hadith; and this portion passed at number (2808) from the narration of Ma'mar from Yahya bin Abi Kathir.
وأخرجه أحمد 24/ (15531) عن اسماعيل ابن عليّة، عن هشام - وهو الدستوائي - بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad 24/ (15531) narrated it from Isma'il Ibn 'Ulayyah, from Hisham, who is al-Dastuwa'i, with this chain.
