Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) said: Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) died in the year 61 AH, and she was the last of the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to die. At the time of her death she was eighty or eighty-one years old, and despite her advanced age she was quite vigorous and strong.
